Cambridge Barnwell Road Companion Care

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
General Info
At Companion Care we know your pet is a much loved part of the family and you want them to enjoy a long, healthy life. This is why our veterinary teams, made up of animal loving experts, firmly believe in providing the highest level of care and treating every pet they see like they would their own.
Every Companion Care practice is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practices are also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.
Come and see for yourself at your local Companion Care, why not take a practice tour?

One of the best vets I've been to, they've gone above and beyond with my cat, and are always friendly when I'm no doubt annoying asking for advice

Happy with this surgery, fairly priced and efficient. Few days ago I went for my dog at 9 pm with an urgent appointment. Glad the we could see the vet who gave the dog the needed treatment.

We’ve been taking our cat Minou to Vets4pets for a few years now and we can’t recommend them enough. He gets into all sorts of trouble so he has got to know everyone at the practice well - it’s almost like his second home. The staff is helpful, caring and kind. They go the extra mile to figure out what’s wrong with Minou and help him recover. Communication is always excellent with frequent updates and honest dialogue at decision points. Hayley is our absolute hero. Read Less

Never again vets4pets! Yes, the receptionists are nice and caring, but the vet we encountered was completely unconvincing: Our cat Daisy woke up paralysed one morning, vets4pets pursued a number of experiments/treatment attempts for 500 GBP/day, at the end of which the cause was still unknown and putting her down was the final recommendation. The culminating point: When we said that we would like to give her a final chance by looking after her for a few days, we were even reported to the RSPCA! And that after we were charged 100 GBP for medication and doubtful advice to help her on the road to recovery at home! Unbelievable!!! Of course, we changed the vet. We are now with Arbury Road Veterinary Surgery, and so far they were right: Daisy is on the road to recovery, which includes eating and drinking on her own, rolling over the back, sitting upright, pulling us towards herself if she wants more cuddling and - of course - pushing the food/drinks away when she had enough. In short, vets4pets is definitely the worst vet I have come across in my life - and I have seen many vets, for a number of pets! Read Less
