Annual vacanation reminder email received 3 months after death of pet! Your group title is Best Friends but on Friday 20th October you were no friend of mine or Lottie's! Opening this email this morning has done nothing more than brought back painful memories of an extremely distressing day that I was hoping was behind me. My darling Lottie died on Friday 20th October 2017, I called the March branch that morning because she was clearly desperately ill and despite my pleas I was told that you were unable to give me any assistance in this emergency suggesting that I contact one of your other branches in either Chatteris or Wisbech only to be met with the same response with the suggestion that I should book an appointment for the following Monday. How would you feel if this was beloved companion, who was clearly failing in front of your eyes to be then be told by the very people who you were registered with to take care of your pet, that they were too busy to help in your hour of need? In my desperation I contacted Amical Vets in March and explained exactly the same circumstances to them as I had to your group, they couldn't have been more helpful and opened up the surgery early in order to see Lottie. The service they gave me was second to none but sadly my fears about Lottie's health as expressed to yourselves were true and she passed away in my arms later that day. I had informed the reception at March that Lottie is no longer with us and despite this you are in my opinion, by sending me this "reminder", showing yet another callous disregard towards me as was the case on that very distressing day when Lottie died. Will you kindly update your records accordingly so that this distressing situation does not arise again. Clearly your level of "customer service" was sadly lacking on the day I needed your help and perhaps this is something you should address in the future so that no other "valued clients" have to suffer the stress and trauma I suffered on the day in question. It may not come as a surprise to you that I will no longer consider using your services nor would I recommend you to any of my friends or family. We sadly had to put our beloved billy to sleep I CANNOT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF THE STAFF HERE ! the care they gave billy the support the gave my family and i when we had to make the awful decision. They were so kind. Stayed open late so they could see us. Explained everything in detail and gave us all the time we needed. Always fantastic service. All staff from receptionists through to the vets themselves are very helpful and polite. I have 5 dogs and have used this surgery for years, everything from claw clipping to major life saving surgery and I wouldn't change a thing. They have had quite a few staff changes but in no way has it affected the high quality of service. Highly recommended. Read Less
