I went to this vets for the first time today, I travelled nearly a 100 miles to Clearidge as my usual vets could not fit me in to have a litter of puppies eye screened, I was made to feel most welcome by Robert and the staff, I was even made a cup of tea before my journey home, that’s what you call customer service! I wish you were nearer I would use your services all of the time, however if one of my dogs were unfortunate to suffer with an eye issue I feel I would make the journey to you! Thank you. Read Less

Our dog was under the care of Clear Ridge. For most of her life she hardly ever needed to go. When she did get very poorly we had a frustrating experience. Individually and face to face most of the staff were absolutely lovely. However, the lack of communication with us and with each other was dreadful, the organisation /management is very very poor. I had an awful lot of wasted time in the waiting room, and after a subtle complaint, on more than one occasion a phone call to ...say how late they were running so not to turn up yet and once when it was so far behind I couldn't still attend. The lack of organisation rolls out to paperwork and billing too. It's just all so frustrating but could so easily be fixed I'm sure. If you have a schedule of 10 minute appointments and each one takes 20 because of unnecessary conversations then running late is very quickly going to occur. The staff are kind, but the management is poor. I wouldn't use again. I do like the new vet, and felt the way that Robert spoke to him in front of me was a little patronising but that's their own issue. Jean in Peterborough was always lovely with us and Frankie and Lauren did their best, but it seems that until there are some process changes and some delegation of responsibility and tasks then nothing will change. I do thank them for the care they gave Daisy at the end of her life, but come on clear ridge...a few changes and you could be really great! Review is given solely on my own experience from January to March 2019. See More Read Less

There are so many nice vets practies in Stamford I would not recommend this one. Very disappointed with customer service, dirty practice table, poor method of vaccinating our puppy caused him excessive pain. Vets did not read puppy records before giving vaccination or offering advice leading to misinformation. Lack of awareness/knowledge of vaccines they use, senior vet claimed only 95% of puppies are fully protected after 2nd set of vaccinations. Computer system lots pet records. Read Less

I can't recommend Robert and his team enough. My greyhound was referred to Robert as an opthalmic patient and underwent 2 major eye operations over several years. The expertise and level of care demonstrated by Robert and his team was fantastic. I can honestly say that Clear Ridge was one of the few vet surgeries that my greyhound was always relaxed in (helped by a large waiting area and friendly staff). I was also very touched by the card that was sent when my greyhound passed away (totally unrelated to the eye issues) and would have no qualms about recommending Robert as an opthalmic specialist.
