Absolutely fantastic service! My cat got ran over in the middle of the night, I called the emergency number and met the vet (Edward I think?) at the surgery in the very early hours... She had a broken pelvis and jaw and was in a very bad state, however, they worked their magic and a few weeks later my cat was home and made a full recovery. Excellent service!!! Our first visit to Cheshire Pet Veterinary Practice. We were made to feel very welcome from the initial booking, right through to the veterinary appointment. On arrival we saw many animals in reception, which the reception ladies knew by name. The ladies made a huge fuss of each and every pet, providing treats and lots of cuddles. All of the animals looked very happy to be there! Christina the Vet was very welcoming, which Instantly put me at ease. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional and answered all of my questions, which reassured me as a first time owner of a pet hedgehog. Cheshire Pet have looked after our two cats Poppy and Teddy for 15 years. The service by the vets and nurses has been exemplary. The welcome by reception staff has been excellent. Even the 'end' for each cat (Poppy five years ago and Teddy a week ago) has been handled professionally and sympathetically. Teddy's was a home visit. We cannot give higher praise to this practice. I haven't been a member of this vets for long, however that hasn't affected how friendly and welcoming all of the staff have been towards me. I joined when the surgery was being refurbished and the result is wonderful. It's so clean, lovely and bright and well set out. It also doesn't smell bad at all which some vets I have been to in the past have had a very lingering smell. This surgery is the total opposite. My 2 year old tortoise isn't well. It's my first tortoise so I have had questions i wanted to ask and to check what I am doing is correct.The vets are so caring and supportive that I have felt completely comfortable asking anything. They have passed no judgments and have really reassured me. I have already recommended the practice to family members and telling them how nice it is there. And will also be recommending it to most of my friends. I also have 2 cats that are registered with another practice but I am considering moving them to this one. This vet is usually good, but is going downhill in our opinion. When we first started going a few years ago the service was great, I honestly couldn't say that now. I have never been to this vets before but when my hedgehog became sick i was recommended this vets highly, i was fitted in very quickly and even though we where late to our first appointment due to traffic, we where still seen and well looked after ! I cannot fault sara she was a lovely person and reassured both me and my boyfriend. I have used Cheshire Pet since they opened. My dogs have had the best treatment and I have always felt involved in their care. The staff are lovely and will often go the extra mile and are ready to listen when you have concerns, giving time to ensure you understand and holding you together when needed. Yes I may have waited sometimes but its because they give time to each client and the reception staff chat while you wait! I trust them implicitly with my pets. Read Less

We have been using Cheshire Pets for a while now and at 1st found them very good. However the service they offer has declined in my view, as there are constant delays waiting to be seen. On average 1 hour waiting after a confirmed appointment. I understand the demands of unforseen circumstances, I just believe there should be enough staff to deal with the demand. It is also very evident that dogs are the priority with this vet and not small rabbits. We will be registering with a new vet for our current and any future pets. Our cat Tom was looked after by Cheshire Pets over the last three years. Although we had to take the agonising decision to put him to sleep recently, nobody could have fought harder to keep him alive than Edward and his team. We were given practical advice and realistic assessments throughout his last illness. We were able to visit him following surgery whenever and for as long we wanted and we too were treated with compassion. I don't think Tom was short of cuddles and affection at any time and we know he was in no pain. Collecting his body was the hardest thing I have ever done, but everybody at the practice, from the receptionist through to the nurses who had looked after Tom were there with kindness and sympathy. We have no doubt Tom was in the very best of hands and we are so glad we chose this practice. Read Less

We've been with Edward and the team for over 10 years now. The support they gave us during the difficult time when we lost our Springer at almost 16 years old was fantastic. They then helped us to find a breeder when we decided we couldn't cope without a dog and starred looking for a puppy. Would recommend the PHP plan to spread the costs of routine medication. I took my GSD Storm for his annual booster and as the surgery was quiet he made himself comfortable across 2 of the chairs before it was his turn! Edward gently checked him over and gave him his booster and everything was routine on this occasion but over the years it hasn't always been so and I would like to sincerely thank Edward for his kindness, skill and surgical expertise and his team, especially Jane, Jess and Rosena to name just a few for all the care and kindness they have shown Storm and all of our beloved pets over the past 20 years.Read Less

Our Bolognese, Cassie has been attending this vets for 10 years and the service and kindness we see each time is assuring. Her latest visit last week went well when she had a minor operation. Stiches come out in the next couple of weeks and we are sure she will be treated very well. Our thanks go to all the staff who make sure she is comfortable and not too stressed. She always heads straight for the chairs in the reception area and settles in - looking around to see who else is there. You can almost see the smile on her face. The perfect Vets for my Grumpy Bassett Mali who becomes a puppy as soon as we enter. He is so excited and loves his visits. He can't wait to get in and see Edward the vet and loves playing with Jane. This is so special as before we joined this practice Mali was so scared of the vets, and it was one of the best thing I ever did was bring him here. They have managed to clear the most horrid ear infection out which required a lot of patience and perseverance but they kept at it and I now have one very happy dog.
