We brought our dog Henry in to see Alan Mayo after our regular local practice couldn’t determine what was actually wrong with him, he appeared to be deteriorating and felt we were rapidly losing him.

We brought our dog Henry in to see Alan Mayo after our regular local practice couldn’t determine what was actually wrong with him, he appeared to be deteriorating and felt we were rapidly losing him.
We decided to try Nantwich vets instead and thankfully we did.
We cannot express enough our gratitude to Alan he went above and beyond to find the cause and has put him back on the road of recovery, he kept us informed all the way of any tests and procedures needed and quickly identified what was making our dog so poorly ….we as a family definitely think of Alan as a superstar!

I have total confidence in this practice. I know if anything could of been done for our boy it would have been. His cruciate had to be repaired in the past and he was fixed. Sadly this time it was a lot more serious. We’ve had to let our boy go but, if we’d not taken Alfie to Nantwich his leg would have snapped with in days. Although this is hard to write I have so much respect for Alan Mayo and the team for trying to help him. Feeling so devastated even talking about this huge loss of our gentle Newfoundland we were rightly advised to not bring him out of anaesthetic. Talking today on the phone to Hayley from Nantwich vets she was lovely, kind and understanding and took time to listen to me talk about my loss. Thank you all as a team who provide an excellent service to our family members xxx

After moving to the area decided to move vets, contacted and requested Alan Mayo, unfortunately he was working the previous night. Booked in with Alan Banks.
I have in all honesty never met in a professional capacity such a rude and arrogant man.
He asked me if my dog had been treated for his current condition, (I had given permission for them to get records from my previous vet, where we had gone a week previously for his booster, he had a bit of a cough and told us to come back to see if the cough had gone). I told Mr Banks he had not been treated but due his booster, which he had not and obviously I knew he had his records. He actually accused me of lying and spoke to me in a manner that actually stunned and for a moment I was speechless, totally unacceptable!!
I cannot give a bad review for ladies on the desk, as they were lovely.

After dropping my 8 month old pup off for surgery this morn at 9am as you can imagine traumatic I was told I would get a call ...... at 13:09 couldn't wait any longer so called, I was made to feel like a nuisance and was told in no uncertain terms the surgeon would call after he had finished surgery I am still sat here waiting and worrying its 19:37 in my opinion not good enough .... I watched a pensioner walking today with his dog to pick up tablets which cost him £65 ouch..... we pay so much for this im have been worried all day, a little reassurance goes a long way!!!!!

Fantastic vets nothing to much trouble. My dog was in severe pain and even though they were fully booked i managed to see a vet within a hr of phoning. Very reasonable in price as well

Fantastic vets. Hats off to some of the service they provided. I recently just had to help a friend through losing there dog and the care and compassion of the vet who had to put the dog down was fantastic the lady really needed to feel compassion while loosing her long life pet and they couldn't have given more. From carrying the dog in to also back out leaving paying till another day understanding the upset and pain the lady was in. They had been treating this dog for cancer for a while everything from the reception staff when coming in up all the way to the surgeon who preformed the very skillfull operation. Which was done well unfortunately the recovery was just to much for the older dog.
Long review short I have experienced all the vets in and very near to Nantwich and this veterinary group is one of the best.

Disgusted at the attitude now prevailing here. I have been a Customer for 18 yrs. Always paid my bills. My cat needed ear drops costing £3.80 after consultation. I had come out without my bag. The Vet knew me , the receptionist knew me but I was made to go home and get bag and not allowed to take presription. I was reminded by Vet who came out to deliver this of their existing debts !! I dont doubt that some ppl may not pay a bill but it was totally offensive and humiliatingly delivered in front of others like I was some kind of scrounger. I am an established loyal customer.
It didn't end there either....
I went home to get my bag and returned and also asked for 3 Advantage treatments. I was told total for all of that was £51 . 31. Sounded right (if not expensive) for just that in total. ....As I was driving out the receptionist came running out and asked me to come back inside as she hadn't charged me consultation fee.. She asked for the receipt I had. The consultation was clearly on it . She tried to keep the receipt and insisted ' I " re turned so she could sort out her error !! It was extremely hot, my feet were hurting, my cat panting with stress so I declined to do that. She reluctanly handed me my receipt back ( which was my property !) Having paid cadh it was also important. She kept insisting like I was some sort of criminal! Car engine running throughout.
Well its like this Nantwich Vets..I dont like being treated like that . I expect some trust after 18 years and if there is an oversight on YOUR part then you should have the consideration to address it in a different way.
The attitude today makes me worry about how my pets might be treated and they cant speak.

I highly recommend this vet group. All the staff we have seen have been sensational. Very helpful, take their time with your pet, answer all your questions and explain options for treatment. We came here after a very bad experience with another local vet who completely mis-treated our dog and then wanted to charge us a fortune for it. Nantwich vets fixed up all their mistakes and helped us with a finance plan. Their prices are more than reasonable for the level of service you get in my opinion. Really I would give them 6 stars if I could.

After moving to the area decided to move vets, contacted and requested Alan Mayo, unfortunately he was working the previous night. Booked in with Alan Banks.
I have in all honesty never met in a professional capacity such a rude and arrogant man.
He asked me if my dog had been treated for his current condition, (I had given permission for them to get records from my previous vet, where we had gone a week previously for his booster, he had a bit of a cough and told us to come back to see if the cough had gone). I told Mr Banks he had not been treated but due his booster, which he had not and obviously I knew he had his records. He actually accused me of lying and spoke to me in a manner that actually stunned and for a moment I was speechless, totally unacceptable!!
I cannot give a bad review for ladies on the desk, as they were lovely.

After dropping my 8 month old pup off for surgery this morn at 9am as you can imagine traumatic I was told I would get a call ...... at 13:09 couldn't wait any longer so called, I was made to feel like a nuisance and was told in no uncertain terms the surgeon would call after he had finished surgery I am still sat here waiting and worrying its 19:37 in my opinion not good enough .... I watched a pensioner walking today with his dog to pick up tablets which cost him £65 ouch..... we pay so much for this im have been worried all day, a little reassurance goes a long way!!!!!

Fantastic vets nothing to much trouble. My dog was in severe pain and even though they were fully booked i managed to see a vet within a hr of phoning. Very reasonable in price as well

Fantastic vets. Hats off to some of the service they provided. I recently just had to help a friend through losing there dog and the care and compassion of the vet who had to put the dog down was fantastic the lady really needed to feel compassion while loosing her long life pet and they couldn't have given more. From carrying the dog in to also back out leaving paying till another day understanding the upset and pain the lady was in. They had been treating this dog for cancer for a while everything from the reception staff when coming in up all the way to the surgeon who preformed the very skillfull operation. Which was done well unfortunately the recovery was just to much for the older dog.
Long review short I have experienced all the vets in and very near to Nantwich and this veterinary group is one of the best.

Disgusted at the attitude now prevailing here. I have been a Customer for 18 yrs. Always paid my bills. My cat needed ear drops costing £3.80 after consultation. I had come out without my bag. The Vet knew me , the receptionist knew me but I was made to go home and get bag and not allowed to take presription. I was reminded by Vet who came out to deliver this of their existing debts !! I dont doubt that some ppl may not pay a bill but it was totally offensive and humiliatingly delivered in front of others like I was some kind of scrounger. I am an established loyal customer.
It didn't end there either....
I went home to get my bag and returned and also asked for 3 Advantage treatments. I was told total for all of that was £51 . 31. Sounded right (if not expensive) for just that in total. ....As I was driving out the receptionist came running out and asked me to come back inside as she hadn't charged me consultation fee.. She asked for the receipt I had. The consultation was clearly on it . She tried to keep the receipt and insisted ' I " re turned so she could sort out her error !! It was extremely hot, my feet were hurting, my cat panting with stress so I declined to do that. She reluctanly handed me my receipt back ( which was my property !) Having paid cadh it was also important. She kept insisting like I was some sort of criminal! Car engine running throughout.
Well its like this Nantwich Vets..I dont like being treated like that . I expect some trust after 18 years and if there is an oversight on YOUR part then you should have the consideration to address it in a different way.
The attitude today makes me worry about how my pets might be treated and they cant speak.
Disgusted.

I cannot recommend highly enough. The level of care received before, during and after was outstanding for both pet and owner.

I highly recommend this vet group. All the staff we have seen have been sensational. Very helpful, take their time with your pet, answer all your questions and explain options for treatment. We came here after a very bad experience with another local vet who completely mis-treated our dog and then wanted to charge us a fortune for it. Nantwich vets fixed up all their mistakes and helped us with a finance plan. Their prices are more than reasonable for the level of service you get in my opinion. Really I would give them 6 stars if I could.
