Sad to say that my dog Marley came home after being told he was a good heathy dog for age and came thru op. Ok. Sent home after few hours. Stating to be checked by vets in morn. And painkillers Little vent in due to allow drainage told May see little blood Well he died 6 hrs later after quite a lot of blood from drainage and lots of blood from back passage Was told sorry and that this can happen POSs 1/200 dogs. Ok I accepted that but no warning or what to do what to expect or that this could happen at all. Bill of 1200 I’m thinking possible a leaflet a letter. Anything. To let me know the horror I may have to face once home. He is a family member and if my grandson who loves him deeply had to see his pet this way. It would have stayed with him a long time as it will with me Very sad indeed at the aftercare for my dog Who after on sheet went for a ten minute op and died once sent home. No stars I’m afraid another dog. To you but my family. Member Read Less

I had a very sick 10yr old Border terrier who was so sad and lost He has attended Dunedin since he was a puppy. Sadly he had to be put to sleep on the 27th Dec. Monty was treated with love and dignity on his final visit and I cannot express my gratitude to the staff who tended to him. Over the years he always loved going to Dunedin. The staff were so caring and kind at every visit. I am grateful to them all and can HIGHLY recommend them Read Less

We would like to thank everyone at Dunedin vets Tranent for looking after our gorgeous Murphy when he became seriously ill. The devotion of these people go beyond words. We were truly grateful for all care he was given. Unfortunately, we had to make one of the biggest decisions of our lives and let him go. I've only ever been to the Tranent branch of Dunedin Vets. I always went by bus so I don't know if they have a carpark or not. But there is a bus stop right outside the door and another one across the road outside ASDA. All the stuff in there are very helpful and always very cheerful. You can make an appointment on the same day if need be. The quality of service from the vets, the nursing staff and the receptionists is top quality. They sell a very small range of food and dog leads and collars but they are happy to point you in the direction of the local pet shop which is very nearby.Read Less
