After a very bad experience with another vet which resulted in the death of my beautiful cat, Celyn's was recommended to me and now I wouldn't trust anyone else with my precious pets. With a staffy who gets stressed even more than normal, sitting in the waiting room and a JRT that loves to visit but scares our staffy, Linda is great at getting both dogs checked and back out of the treatment room without any problems. I'm sure the people in there now know how crazy our visits can be, but we work so well together. Long may our visits continue. I will add that I have never felt I have been pushed into or "advised" to have any treatments. We have discussions and decide on our own. I have been taking my dogs to Celyn Holywell for years, and Linda is an amazing vet and very caring. I cannot believe the negative review I have just read. In my experience the staff are very helpful, considerate, caring and well mannered. I have needed advice on the phone and I had a very friendly chat when I was listened to and given advice. I have NEVER been spoken to in any negative way. I guess when some people say negative things maybe they are negative people and maybe are never happy with anything. Regarding vets in general, being an older person and having many dogs throughout my life and experiencing a few vets one thing I can say without doubt is at Celyn I have NEVER been pressured into having tests or treatment just so they can get money out of me and I know that happens with some vets. I have to take one of my dogs every 6-8wks for her anal glands to be emptied, I cannot thank Linda enough for her care and consideration when she attends to my dog, and my dog is always happy to see Linda on her next visit:) To sum up my dogs are happy and healthy and get first class treatment with Linda at Celyn Hollywell. I would highly recommend them and I am happy that I have such a good vet to care for my dogs when needed. Read Less

On Thursday last week I was spoken down to on the phone by a veterinary surgeon who spoke over me repeatedly, and showed no manners or empathy to my case whatsoever as I attempted to discuss a refund due to her negligence, on this thursday I was told that I would receive a call by her manager, it is now monday and I had to call him myself as he had failed to ring me and again he expressed the same attitude, speaking over me, speaking down to me, showing no manners, apologies or empathy in any manner, I was told on the Thursday by the vet that she had no authorities to issue a refund but her practice manager did, I was then told by the manager that he has no authorities to issue a refund and I now have to write a letter for the veterinary surgeons to review- I feel this refund should be issued because 5 weeks ago I took my 4 month old border collie puppy to the Holywell branch and was told that despite her very dramatic symptoms she just had an infection, I returned the puppy to the surgery three more times and was told the same thing- after her antibiotics had finished, only 24 hours after I had returned to celyn vets for the THIRD time, she deteriorated and I took her to another surgery who rushed her in as an emergency and said she was critical and I was told to say goodbye to my puppy, fortunately this was not the case as she did pick up although she had meningitis NOT AN INFECTION, and after over 450 in vet bills and aftercare, 5 weeks later she is slowly on the mend. Celyn vet group have no explanation as to how she went from a normal infection to critically ill within 24 hours as she displayed the same symptoms throughout her illness which lasted 2 weeks with treatment from celyn vets before I went to another surgery- they are now refusing to except any responsibility or acceptance of negligance and I am fighting a hard battle for a refund of 75 Read Less
