I was on holiday in Cornwall when my dog hurt his leg. I phoned the out of hours surgery. The vet returned my call and was very helpful (He actually diagnosed the condition over the phone). The next day, my dog was still in pain, so, as advised, I took him to the Practice. The treatment my dog was given was first class. I found every member of the staff really helpful. Don't hesitate! This is THE best vets for miles. After being told by another vet my elderly cat couldn't be handled safely to have blood test unless sedated, I decided to try somewhere else, thank goodness I did, several blood tests & examinations later And within 5 months thanks to Head & Head my 15yr old cat is looking and feeling healthier than ever before and without any sedation which could have been dangerous for my cat given her age and unknown at that time kidney disease. Head & Head are so patient & caring they make lots of fuss of my cat and handle her personality quirks in the most amazing manner, my cat is playing more again, put lost weight back on, improved her coat & is back to her old self. I feel in such safe hands it's a relief to know she has the best care possible from all the team there, thank you so much for everything I have also seen them be super patient with a nervous dog and they arranged for the owner to bring the dog a bit more into the surgery each time and made a fuss of him so that eventually the dog would visit without issue. Our young dog has recently been seriously ill and had emergency surgery, it happened on a Saturday evening and if it wasn't for the swift action and excellent care from Head & Head she would have died. The duty vet called in a senior vet who was weekend off to perform the operation and they stayed by her side all night until she was stable.
