We visited this vet whilst on holiday to have a tick removed from our Sttaffy/Ridgeback cross Toby. It is the best vets we have ever been to. Despite being appointment based, they booked us in over the phone on our way over in the car. We were seen within 10 minutes of arrival , even though our appointment was not for another 30 mins. On arrival, despite only speaking to them a couple of minutes before, they were already on the phone to our local vet, to check on Toby's history. As it turns out, the tick had already dropped off but, Toby was given a thorough check over & a tablet ensuring freedom from ticks for over a month, for the more than reasonable price of £17.40. We were that impressed that we joked we would have to holiday in Cornwall every year so that Toby could have his annual check up.

Good care although they prescribe too many drugs without telling you what they actually are.
Also the receipt doesn't detail exactly what was done.
I expect that when spending several hundred pounds

Have 4 rats with these 3 have become I'll in last month 2 resulting in surgery. I little guy didn't do well after his op and needed to phone in middle of night. Advice was given ratty started getting better.
9am next morning that same vet rang to check on how my rat got on through night.
Felt like they really cares about him

Looked after several of my cats and treated them very well. The vet's will tell you if you can get medications cheaper on the internet and show you how to go about doing this. The building is clean and presentable with the reception staff being very friendly.

107 pound for my very sick puppy struggling to breathe to receive metacam on an out of hours service. 53 pound the day before for 2 injections and and antibiotics to take home and consultation.(reasonable) 97 pound for a 15 minute consultation on a Sunday.... and only 10.03 pence for metacam. It's wrong on every level. Although they took care of my pup and and other dogs on previous occasions which of course I'm very greatful for...it's very unfairly priced. My pup was taken to hospital in Wales for an overnight stay on iv fluids last year...with 24/7 care and other meds....104 pound....very reasonable indeed. How they can warrant their pricing is beyond. Not cool at all. :(

Luxstowe Vets just charged me 98!!!! for 10 days of antibiotics and a tube of Isaderm cream which you can buy for a lot less on-line.
This sort of profiteering disuades ordinary people on modest incom...
Luxstowe Vets just charged me 98!!!! for 10 days of antibiotics and a tube of Isaderm cream which you can buy for a lot less on-line.
This sort of profiteering disuades ordinary people on modest incomes from taking their animals to the vets. Shameful.

I was on holiday in Luxstowe and my dog became suddenly ill. The vets at Luxstowe were amazing. They were incredibly professional and reassuring, and looked after my Digby over two nights. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Our dog took ill whilst we were on holiday. He couldn't have been treated better had he been owned by the Queen. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after, and when he didn't improve they rushed him in for emergency surgery and found a peach stone lodged in his intestines- and please God he's now on the road to recovery. In 27 years of dog ownership this was the best veterinary experience we've ever had- and when I look at the cost, and compare it to what it would have been back in Sussex...our insurers must be breathing a sigh of relief.
If there was a sixth star, I'd have awarded that too. Even the customers we shared the waiting room with time and time again were lovely. Luxstowe vets made an incredibly stressful experience bearable, gave us complete confidence in their abilities from start to finish, and we can't thank them enough.

did not like my experience at this vets and will longer go there. The staff were rude and not friendly. I will not be recommending them to anyone

We visited this vet whilst on holiday to have a tick removed from our Sttaffy/Ridgeback cross Toby. It is the best vets we have ever been to. Despite being appointment based, they booked us in over the phone on our way over in the car. We were seen within 10 minutes of arrival , even though our appointment was not for another 30 mins. On arrival, despite only speaking to them a couple of minutes before, they were already on the phone to our local vet, to check on Toby's history.
