I have been a client of city road for many years now, and always delighted by the standard of care that is given to both myself and my pets. They are very experienced vets, with several areas of expertise and specialties. There are four veterinary practises closer to my home, but some things in life are worth going that extra mile for, and City Road Vets is definitely one of them.
You can feel the friendly atmosphere from the minute you open the door, and it is very noticeable how happy all the nurses and receptionists are in their jobs.

100% Happy with the care my pets receive. Staff friendly and totally great. There is a subscription pet club to ensure the routine care e.g. Worming, fleaing, nail care, dental care etc are taken care of. Pleasant clean waiting area with a separate area for cat's, bowls of water and doggy treats provided ! Always come away feeling my pet's have been well treated by staff who really care.

We visited City Road Vets on Friday with our old boyo Rex. The staff were delightful and very complimentary of Rex and made us and him feel very comfortable and at ease. They talked us through what was up with Rex as well as offering us tips on helping deal with his heart murmur. We’ll definately be using them from now on with Rex and are other younger dog Barbara. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED..... we were given a phone call 6:20 pm yesterday ((10 minutes before they close)) to say that my HEALTHY cat had been handed in by a neighbour after they found him eating there cats food.... not only did the vets take our healthy cat in for absolutely no reason but because we couldn't pick the cat up in the 10 minutes they were open for they charged us £31...... mmmmm in it for the money or actually the community???

I most highly recommend City Road Vets, they deserve more than 5 stars. When we couldn't get in at a well known nationwide vets (because they didn't believe it was a serious enough case to get an emergency appointment), City Road were our knights in shining armour, got us in that day and it was discovered that our little old man had suffered a stroke.
From that day on, we have never received so much love, care, support and thoroughness with any vets in Merlin's 18 year history. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Merlin a couple of weeks ago but, again, City Road made this the most personal, loving experience. It felt like they were a part of our family too, they cared for him (and us) just as much as we do.
Their approach is of the highest professionalism and sensitivity, we are forever indebted to them and will never use another surgery so long as we live near Truro.
Deepest thanks to all the team, you have been so important to our little family. xxx

My beautiful dog, Ebony (13) was referred to Simon Tai over a year ago for a skin condition. She had never been happy to go to her local vets but was completely at ease during her visits to City Road. Unfortunately I had to make the hard decision to have Ebony put to sleep last weekend. I was heartbroken. It was a lovely surprise to receive a card from the surgery today enclosing forget me not seeds to scatter in remembrance of Ebony, such a lovely gesture.... The staff at the surgery have been so caring, friendly and professional, I can't praise them highly enough. I have recommended the surgery to friends and will continue to do so. Thank you so much Simon and all staff City Road - you've been amazing! See More

The customer service is outstanding. The environment is clean and booking appointments is never a problem.
I wouldn't take him to any other vets. I highly recommend City Vets.

I have been a client of city road for many years now, and always delighted by the standard of care that is given to both myself and my pets. They are very experienced vets, with several areas of expertise and specialties. There are four veterinary practises closer to my home, but some things in life are worth going that extra mile for, and City Road Vets is definitely one of them.
You can feel the friendly atmosphere from the minute you open the door, and it is very noticeable how happy all the nurses and receptionists are in their jobs.

Pleasant clean waiting area with a separate area for cat's, bowls of water and doggy treats provided ! Always come away feeling my pet's have been well treated by staff who really care.

We have always used this vet, they know our dog and his history. Friendly staff and always very busy here. Appointments recommended now which is good i would recommend this vet centre to anybody.

We visited City Road Vets on Friday with our old boyo Rex. The staff were delightful and very complimentary of Rex and made us and him feel very comfortable and at ease. They talked us through what was up with Rex as well as offering us tips on helping deal with his heart murmur. We’ll definately be using them from now on with Rex and are other younger dog Barbara. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED..... we were given a phone call 6:20 pm yesterday ((10 minutes before they close)) to say that my HEALTHY cat had been handed in by a neighbour after they found him eating there cats food.... not only did the vets take our healthy cat in for absolutely no reason but because we couldn't pick the cat up in the 10 minutes they were open for they charged us £31...... mmmmm in it for the money or actually the community???

I most highly recommend City Road Vets, they deserve more than 5 stars. When we couldn't get in at a well known nationwide vets (because they didn't believe it was a serious enough case to get an emergency appointment), City Road were our knights in shining armour, got us in that day and it was discovered that our little old man had suffered a stroke.
From that day on, we have never received so much love, care, support and thoroughness with any vets in Merlin's 18 year history. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Merlin a couple of weeks ago but, again, City Road made this the most personal, loving experience. It felt like they were a part of our family too, they cared for him (and us) just as much as we do.
Their approach is of the highest professionalism and sensitivity, we are forever indebted to them and will never use another surgery so long as we live near Truro.
Deepest thanks to all the team, you have been so important to our little family. xxx

She had never been happy to go to her local vets but was completely at ease during her visits to City Road. Unfortunately I had to make the hard decision to have Ebony put to sleep last weekend. I was heartbroken. It was a lovely surprise to receive a card from the surgery today enclosing forget me not seeds to scatter in remembrance of Ebony, such a lovely gesture.... The staff at the surgery have been so caring, friendly and professional, I can't praise them highly enough. I have recommended the surgery to friends and will continue to do so. The customer service is outstanding. The environment is clean and booking appointments is never a problem.
I wouldn't take him to any other vets. I highly recommend City Vets.

This is a lovely vets. They have seen us through the loss of our Jack Russell and welcomed Rosy in March. Everyone in the practice has been so friendly and kind, both to us and Rosy and the care has been excellent. It is the first time any of our dogs has been happy to go back into a vets, even after surgery. I would and do recommend this practice to everyone.
