I would not hesitate to recommend Firmount Vets. I strongly feel that they always put the animals need foremost. John has recently performed a major surgery to our Tea Cup Yorkie removing a hip joint and after only four weeks she was more mobile than before the operation and after eight weeks more mobile than she has been in the last two years. Just picked my wee Romeo up today after a 2 day iv drip and antibiotics! I can't praise everyone in the practice enough! Every time I phoned to see how he was they couldn't be any more patient and informative. You can tell they love their jobs and care very much! I can't praise John enough for his knowledge and actually helping my mr man after 6 years of not knowing what was wrong all within a few weeks of joining the practice. I can't praise the people who work in this vets enough, I have been with them to many years and would not go anywhere else. From them bringing my rescue cat polo back to fighting fit from being in a bad way, to taking my dogs for a checkup or unfortunately in one case was an out of hours emergency they always gave you and ur pet 100% of their attention and assurance that they will do everything they can to bring you pet back to health. My older dog homer is definitely not a fan of going in to the vets surgery so the vets and vet nurses actually come and see him outside, this making him so much more relaxed and more cooperative with being examined, it's the little things like that make me know I'm with the right vets and I recommend them to everyone. I love this vets, I have a very nervous wee dog and taking him to the vets is very stressful but all of the vets and veterinary nurses all make the visit as easy as possible. I also have 5 guinea pigs and they all attend the practice! When u visit it's like everyone who works there are best friends which makes my visits so much easier, they are all ready to answer any questions or give advice about foods that my wee fur babies should be eating!!! My little dog cookie has been so poorly for quite a few months with prostatitis and John has been fantastic with him, he's not examined him while he's been stressed to the max instead he admitted cookie to sedate him to get a thorough examination. It's a very traumatic experience learning your pet is I'll but all of these people do their up most to keep you informed and also be completely focused in nursing our pets back to full health!!! Fantastic Vets! Mr Lavery is a fantastic vet - so friendly, helpful and understanding. I would not take my pets anywhere else. The vets and staff there are so thorough and caring you could not fault them! On a few occasions i have had to ring up after hours for advice and there is always someone there to answer your call and give honest advice. These vets would not ask you to come in out of hours unless they thought that you really needed to. They are located on the busy Belfast road but once you get around the roundabout there isn't much problem parking. Read Less
