We've been with grove vet for nearly 20 years and cant fault them in anyway. A few weeks ago our beloved cat of 17 years had to be put to sleep. Heartbroken as we all were Richard was amazing, he reassured us that it was the right thing to do. Everything he said helped us cope with our loss and gave us time together. The nurses there were also very kindhearted and shared our sympathy. We werent rushed, they let us grieve in the treatment room until we were ready. Cant thank them enough for everything they have done for us if we could rate higher we would. Read Less

My wee dog at10 months started to show extreme signs of aggression towards strangers. I was advised to get a behaviourist from this vet which I did costing me hundreds of pounds which wasn’t helping. The vet then put my dog on Prozac when he was 1 year , a few weeks later my dog started peeing blood and I took dog back to vets . My dog was very aggressive however I had him muzzled and I was able to hold him , yet the vet never examined him and gave a course of antibiotics. Two days later my dog took a massive seizure at my back door and within 2 minutes he was dead. My dog had never had any type of seizure before so this was totally unexpected. I phoned the girl at reception at the vets who knew my dog instantly and was so nice and said she was so sorry for my loss. She is the only reason I’m giving 1 star. I asked the girl if she would ask the vet if I could get a post-mortem done as my wee dog had changed at 10 months and then the urination of blood and then the sudden death. The vet rang me said he was sorry for my loss while talking to others in the background and then said I’m going to have to go. I was so shocked I never got to ask about a most mortem and also he never gave me my options considering a healthy 1 year old drops dead that I absolutely loved. I feel my dog and my family have been let down by this vet. My dog should of been checked throughly as the signs where there of illness such as aggression, peeing blood , but because the dog looked healthy and bostrous he was not looked at. This just proves my point that dogs are very good at covering up their illness or pain as he never showed aggression to me only strangers because he was afraid of them causing him any more pain. Now il never know whether my dog had a brain tumour or poisoning from his antibiotics etc to what cause my best friend to die . Read Less
