Wonderful vets! We have taken all our pets here over the years, even though they are not our local practice as they treat the animals so well. They recently saved my cat's life when we thought we were going to lose her. I will always be grateful! Just a few months later one of our other cats was in an accident and dislocated her hip badly. They are so good with the animals and options provided to you; in the sad event you need to say goodbye to a loved one they offer great support and understanding with regards leaving via a private exit and making arrangements later. I've always felt my pets were in the best hands here and although money should never be a factor with a furry family member they really do make everything fair. Couldn't ask for a better vet. I met Craig the vet today for the first time and have nothing but praise for him. I thought my wee cat would not make it through the day, but Craig was so thorough and explained everything very clearly. My wee man was admitted to the oxygen chamber and Craig called me at half past five, remarkable given this is Sunday, and explained the progress made in treatment. I cannot praise this new addition to their Cedar Grove team highly enough. I also would like to say that the vet nurse on duty was brilliant. Sorry I wasn't aware who she is, but she heard my wee cat and took charge and put him in oxygen chamber immediately, a big improvement on previous visits. This was all on a Sunday very close to closing time. At no point did I feel rushed or that the staff were keen to get home. This vet service is outstanding, you get top service here, have been with CG for ten years, they surprise me constantly with the excellent care for my darling fur babies. Thank you to all. Read Less

The best vets around.My 22 year old cat pippa is oldest cat cedar grove have treated.The caring professionalism of the staff is pawsome.They have treated pippa for several years during her overactive thyroidism.Jinny and Eve deserve highest praise.They are calm they have time and patience and understanding of what your going through.Pippa got a longer life because of all the top professional vets at cedar grove.Sadly on sun 18th September 2016 pippa owned by Noreen and myself lost the last of her nine lives.The vet John was compassionate so nice helpful and felt our pain and grief too.pippa was our baby our cat of the century,our substitute daughter.Cedar Grove saw what pippa meant to us.They knew she was special and no ordinary cat.pippa's time was up.she was 22yrs 5mths 2was old her kidneys were going.it was time for pippa to go to Rainbow Bridge.we all cried it was the saddest day.The vets have us 20mins 2stay with pippa to kiss her and cry and to say goodbye.when pippa was put gently to sleep John and the nurse were also hurting.The vets explain things calmly and put themselves in your shoes.There isn't a better vets.They even dimmed the lights down on pippa's final moments.They also gave us another 20mins to be alone after it.Cedar Grove even let us leave by back door so we didn't have to face people.Cedar Grove also sent a sympathy card which shows how nice and thoughtful the practice is.i think I've got name right and it was John who treated pippa on her last day.we were crying and in such a daze we hope we have got his name right.He was brilliant.This extraordinary cats longevity of 22 years was announced in the media.Pippa's passing was mentioned in Sunday Life 2weeks running.Two cat magazines Yourcat and Catworld will feature pippa tribute article in their next monthly editions.pippa was a famous cat and I'm proud she was a patient for many years under the expertise and top staff at cedar grove vets.our 9yr old cat Dodi is also registered under cedar grove veterinary clinic.I'm developing a pippa memorial garden.it's complete with pippa statue and pippa was so special she got a human granite headstone.she has her own youtube channel under pippa the man utd cat.when pippa passed condolences and tributes came in for this Belfast Cat from around the world.i wonder when cedar grove treated pippa did they know how much that Wee cat pippa was loved not just by her owners but by so many other people too.she has created quite a fuss.I'm overwhelmed and am so proud that cedar grove had my famous cat pippa signed up on their books.I recommend cedar grove vets.pippa lived extra years because we go there.Hope the brilliant staff read this.Read Less

I'm very happy with this vet. I now moved further away from them but I am still using them. Last year i got the pet plan for my kitty from them, which is 9.11 monthly. It gives you some treatments cheaper & you get regular flea treatment & deworming for free & even the booster shots are free. Jellybean is quite comfortable with them too & if you have an issue with anything they take it very serious and make sure it is being dealt with. Read Less

I've been with Cedar Grove for about three years , I had a cat with a really bad heart problem and she died last year the quality of care she and I got was excellent , I then got two kittens and they had cat flu and I got another cat with allergies and as always they have look after the cats AND me ( cause some vets don't look after the owners ) with care and kindness.i would really like to give them twenty stars. I brought my cat in to have her spayed. Was seen by John - very professional, thorough - reassuring. The procedure went to plan and she is making a full recovery. The staff on the desk were great - they followed up by phone to let me know she was in recovery, in good form and ready to be picked up. They are open late which made it easy for me to collect after work. Finally - the bill was much less than what I expected! Hard to beat - will definitely come back. Read Less

I was referred to Cedar Grove by my local veterinary clinic when they'd reached the limit of what their diagnostic equipment could do for my cat (being out in the country, they specialize in livestock rather than household pets). This was an excellent recommendation on their part. Cedar Grove is professional, modern, extremely advanced, and kind and courteous as well. The staff listen, provide excellent information, and are warm and comforting in troubling times, even going so far as to encourage me to phone them with updates regardless of improvement or a downturn in condition. Their charges, considering the high caliber of service, are very reasonable. Despite them being quite a distance from my home, I would not hesitate to bring my cat, nor any potential future pet, to them for veterinary attention. Nor should anyone else. Advice to pet owners: if you think your pet is unwell & you're still not happy after getting them checked out, please get further opinions until you're satisfied. 3 local practices checked my 2 staffies Jd & Coke recently and all 3 failed to diagnose major health issues. It was only after visiting Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic and top vet Gilbert McKnight that a diagnosis was made. I've nothing only good words to say about this practice and Gilbert, as I went there 15yrs ago when other vets were going to amputate my last staffies leg after an accident. At that time Gilbert done the most fantastic job and left staffie King as good as new. The diagnosis today wasn't good but at least I'm confident that if anything can be done it will be, as this practice and Gilbert McKnight are no.1 in my eyes. Read Less

Cedar grove has been my families favourite place to take our pets to and usually only for routine immunizations. Last year id spotted a cat in the neighbourhood that looked like a stray and it was shaking and fitting and I picked it up and drove it straight to the vets, it turned out it had been poisoned and wasn't chipped , it was a male cat and didn't need neutered. It pulled through and the vets told me to take it back to where I found it and let it go. I see it sometimes about the place and it looks like its looked after. Relived I didn't end up getting a bill for it , they know me from being in every year though with my mums cat. There's a small shop with pet accessories and foods and my last time there was a cat asleep in one of the pet beds in the shop bit, I thought it was a teddy for a while but it is apparently the resident cat. Completely feel in love with this groomers it's part of the cedar grove veterinary practice and is   brilliant. I can only speak for myself but I feel a whole lot safer known my dogs are in the same building as tons of vets so if anything was to happen to my dogs while getting groomed I know they will get help asap.The staff are amazing and so friendly. You can't imagine unless your a dog owner/lover, the trauma of a sick dog! My dog Dougal had a severe spinal injury 3weeks ago and Cedar Grove Vet Clinic was recommended by my groomer Harley blues in Lurgan. We expected the worst due to his age and the condition. Gilbert, Eve, John and the gang took no chances and operated immediately. I drove from Lurgan every day to visit a very sick dog. The staff were constant with their care. The compassion they have for sick animals you can't measure. Every day I saw an improvement, their dedication, professionalism and kindness was overwhelming. Finally after 3 wks he came home. He's a bit wobbly on the legs but I'm sure he will make a full recovery. Not only are They super vets, but they are Super humans. Thank you so much for caring for me and my wee dog. We took our dog Elvis to Cedar Grove to get all his lumps and bumps checked out. He was in good form but we were really worried!
