My wee lad barney attended the "doggy doctors" at Rathgael for the whole 10 years of his life. He loved them as much as they loved him. The standard of care and attention he received over the years was outstanding. A few weeks ago, the last moments of his life, were made dignified and special as we made the decision to let him go. We took our family dog here - she was very very sick. Previous vets did not help. As soon as we came into rathgael the girls were so friendly. The vet treated our dog like she loved her just as much as us. Unfortunately she was too sick to carry on. They were absolutely amazing. I can't thank the girls enough. Amazing, Friendly, Professional Vets!! My dog suffered a cruciate ligament injury this year - I was very worried, so contacted staff at Rathgael Veterinary clinic and they couldn't have been more helpful. They made a short notice appointment for me and immediately diagnosed the seriousness of the problem. Surgery was scheduled for the next day. We were kept fully up to date by Richard, the owner, who assured us at every stage of the process. Jane, our surgeon was excellent - she performed the operation faultlessly and in just a few hours, our dog was back home resting up and beginning the recovery process. On our check ups the staff have continued to be friendly, impressive and knowledgeable - I 100%recommend Rathgael Veterinary clinic to anyone in the Bangor / Newtownards area.Read Less

Could not recommend Rathgael highly enough.. the care both our dogs have received is second to none. Mr Kelly is always honest and caring in his advice and the nurses take great care with the pets.
