I used Mile House for a 5 stage pre purchase ezcamination for my daughters pony - I have received an excellent professional service from the initial booking with Amy in the office and the first initial chat with Ed on the phone about what my requirements were. I had had some initial reservations about the ponies movements but Ed through thorough examination and his clear explanations soon put my doubts at bay. The staff were great in chasing a swab test in order to move the pony in time for the weekend which I am extremely grateful for. The advice that Ed gave with regards to the ponies weight management was also welcomed . Mile House is a very fitting name for a practice whom I felt went the extra mile for me 💕

Thank you to all the staff, that have been there for our 9 year old Boxer dog Lennox over the years. I sadly had to take Lennox to the vets on my own, while I was 7 months pregnant, to be put to sleep. It was absolutely heartbreaking but with the help, kind words and support from Jodie, I got through it. Jodie showed true love for Lennox and it isn't just a job to her, it's her passion. She was very comforting to both me and Lennox. Both Jodie and Ed have been fantastic, whe...n ever we have needed advice, they have both been on the other end of the phone, not money orientated saying to go down to get him seen each time either. I have read many reviews about Ed saying they don't like his ways. To us, Ed has always been very truthful, honesty is the best policy and always told us how it is, which is what we go to the vets for! I've known Ed for years, he's always been honest and frank about treatments and I've always appreciated that. In the last couple of weeks I've had 2 pets who'd reached that horrid point where a decision to put to sleep was best for them. Each time we were both treated with love and compassion, which makes the decision a lot easier. The couple of out of hours emergencies I've had have never been an issue to them, you ring up and they'll meet you down the surgery in 20 mins. T...he girls are wonderful, I love how I can just ring up and Amy knows my dulcet tones. And so to today, I brought my 2 pups in for a jab and a bit of a giggle. Of course they left their little deposits everywhere no problems as always. Prices are always fair, nothing unnecessary has ever been recommended or charged for. I have used Mile House for a number of years now as I have 8 dogs. I just do not recognise the reviews here as in my long experience I have never suffered the criticisms I find here in other reviews. Ed is a plain speaker and maybe some can't take it but he and his vets have always put the dog's interest first and yes he has had to put several of mine to sleep, the last one being on Easter Monday. This has always been done with compassion and trying to allow as much privacy as possible in those last minutes. They have always been available for me even in the middle of the night and on a public holiday and it was not by them using a locum.

I have owned golden retrievers for 25 years now, live in Brompton on swale have been to different vets Richmond/Darlington over the years but I have to say since registering with mile house vets this year (2016) the service from Ed, Ester and the new vet Amelia has been amazing, extremely friendly very professional, all the receptionists have been lovely. Myself and my husband really can't recommend them enough. Hands down the best in the area.

All vets rely on word of mouth and a good reputation to build up their client base. My experience with you was not one I will be promoting your practise for. Professionalism, punctuality, friendly, explanatory, un-opinionated staff should just be as standard, not a lucky dip. Girl on the phone was very nice, unfortunately the vet that came out wasn't. Very unprofessional, 4 and a half hours late (5 by the time we actually got started). I felt the vet was very unfair to the horse in the 2 stage vetting, in the sense of having her lunge on hard surface for so long. The horse has very tender feet, she has no shoes on. She is 4 years of age with very little balance. I can't warrant putting shoes on a 4 year old in very little work, and this is my choice to do so. If he wishes to fail her on this, then I can appreciate this. But personal opinions and not so subtle digs can be left out of it. I'll look after my horse in the way I wish. Rude. Arrogant. And poor mannerisms and handling of larger animals.

Ed was the worst vet that I've ever seen. Had to take my 18 year girl to be put to sleep. As he gave her her injection he turned to the computer. Presumably to sort my bill. Devastated.

And the main reason is he's straight to point says it how is in my opinion this is correct way and a lot people can't take this or don't like it that is not attitude it's truth so get over yourself he's doing his job!! There is a difference between attitude and truth but some people just don't want to hear it.....truth that is!

Fantastic vets. I would trust Ed 100% and the staff will bend over backwards for you. Lovely practice, we've used them for years and always will.

All vets rely on word of mouth and a good reputation to build up their client base. My experience with you was not one I will be promoting your practise for. Professionalism, punctuality, friendly, explanatory, un-opinionated staff should just be as standard, not a lucky dip. Girl on the phone was very nice, unfortunately the vet that came out wasn't. Very unprofessional, 4 and a half hours late (5 by the time we actually got started). I felt the vet was very unfair to the horse in the 2 stage vetting, in the sense of having her lunge on hard surface for so long. The horse has very tender feet, she has no shoes on. She is 4 years of age with very little balance. I can't warrant putting shoes on a 4 year old in very little work, and this is my choice to do so. If he wishes to fail her on this, then I can appreciate this. But personal opinions and not so subtle digs can be left out of it. I'll look after my horse in the way I wish. Rude. Arrogant. And poor mannerisms and handling of larger animals.

Not practical at all wouldn't use them again, lack of understanding of equine handling they need more experience with horses. Not appropriate to be 4 1/2 hours late to a vetting not the first time eit...

Not appropriate to be 4 1/2 hours late to a vetting not the first time either obviously appointments mean nothing we all have busy lives but not to be waiting around for a vet to show!! Thanks god it wasn't an emergency!!!

Ed was the worst vet that I've ever seen. Had to take my 18 year girl to be put to sleep. As he gave her her injection he turned to the computer. Presumably to sort my bill. Devastated.

I've had Ed quite few times (I have tb mare that loves a vet bill) he's been out for a variety of reasons for her the reason I like him is he's there for the animal and not money (like most vets that's all care about. And the main reason is he's straight to point says it how is in my opinion this is correct way and a lot people can't take this or don't like it that is not attitude it's truth so get over yourself he's doing his job!! There is a difference between attitude and truth but some people just don't want to hear it.....truth that is!

I've been with mile house since they first opened all those many many years ago and have had 5 treatment ever since ed and the girls are so good in every thing they do in January we lost our cat due ...
I've been with mile house since they first opened all those many many years ago and have had 5 treatment ever since ed and the girls are so good in every thing they do in January we lost our cat due to ill health and they went up above the line of duty to help us words will never Be enough to show them how grateful we are for continued care as we have a new cat and i'll continue using them thanks mile house
