I agree with Colin Wright’s comments, along with Echo 9970 comments. We changed vets. The only compassionate vet is Katherine.

just a rant about Castle vets, barnard castle - the very same that had a full tv programme a few months ago, Been on my mind a very long time. They were taken over recently by a big company. I have been much happier with Swales, Richmond (first used them when we lived over there). Swales a LOT cheaper too. anyway........ Castle vets charged me 6 per injection on top of the contents for my pony with colic. I could have administered them myself. So that is why I use swales now. Unbelieveable ! Castle also refused to lend me a muzzle to get my terrier clipped, even tho we have spent thousands there. My terrier had a stroke a month before, was under their treatment, but was was seriously overheating and very poorly . It was 8 weeks before an appointment would be available - hahahahahaha !!!! For some reason Steve perkins, who oversaw the cancerous tumour, and subsequent death, of our belove Stanley became cold and distant. Thanks mate. . I went elsewhere straight away. I then got a phone call from Castle Vets asking where Sophie was on the date eight weeks previously ??? Even now, despite making clear we want nothing to do with Castle Vets, we have had jab reminders. I was told today by another (possibly ex client) about the cost of being given "sterilised gloves" and your magic brand of cotton wool. You can get those in Boyes for nothing ! What a rip off. Sue with the blonde spiky hair should NOT be a public face !!!. She is uninterested, rude and dismissive. WHY is she employed somewhere where peole can being having terrible new about their pets ? Glad we have taken control and left. will share this on FB. it is not fair. Thankyou so much Swales - really glad to be back with a wonderful practice, and I think some of my friends will join you xxxx A Hanson." Read Less
