Normally i would agree with the most part of the reviews here although i haven't had need for use of Ashlea vets a lot i have normally found them accommodating but this last time i found i left feeling cheated .A normal nail clipping costs quite a lot especially if you need it done twice a year so last time i was happy when because it is really only a tidy up i get and not all nails need trimming i was charged half price .This time after checking over the phone i would get the same turned out to be not so friendly although i was told it would be done the same ,i got charged full price as if a full nail clipping had been done .The nurse who done the job just finished telling me my dog didn't need them all done but had tidied up the front .The the lady on the desk who charged me full price said more needed done this time and that is why i was being charged full price .Not being happy i phoned to speak with the vet who giving her excuses refunded the difference from this time to last but then very politely told me to go else where in future . I have a friend who also found reason to feel less than accommodated and won't be using this vet again and not just because they no longer do the PDSA he said the communication broke down .Given my own dealings with the communication it would seem the price you get charged is dependent on who you see and on what day you visit .Nearly £12 for less than five minuets attention i don't think so it's a licence to print money . I always find the Dalston vets very clean, bright and airy. They have separate entries for small animals and domestic pets. Also good is the separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, which is less stressful for my beautiful 10 year old cat. The actual group of Vets are very professional and caring. I usually ask to have Poppy's sharp claws clipped on my annual visit to get her boosters. She is more biddable for them than she is for me! Read Less

Early December I began doing a little research on vet practices in the area as we were expecting our very first furbaby(puppy) mid Dec .i wanted to have everything in place for when she came home .i really liked the way the website is set out and the feedback off a couple of friends that are clients helped me decided that Ashley vets might just be the right place for us. My husband and I popped in one afternoon and were given a very warm welcome by some lovely smiling faces,we were even invited to talk with one of the practice nurses that was available at that time, (Katy,I think )we were able to ask what ever we wanted too and given quite a bit of information to take away and read at our leisure. We were so happy with the service that we decided there and then that we would be joining the surgery. We brought our little puppy home on the 15th Dec and since then we have been in and out of the surgery regularly, asking questions that have popped in my head even rushing her down one day as she was screaming in pain.and never once have they made us feel like we were a bother. we enrolled in the puppy training classes, they are fantastic and very well structured. The nurse ,Rebecca who takes the classes is a lovely young lady and very knowledgable. We are right at the beginning of our new family set up and are looking forward to a long and happy future with you guys. Thank you Ashley vets The Nicholson familyRead Less

Able to get an appointment almost straight away for non-emergency accident when I called in. Lovely clean waiting area, with a separate cat waiting room, and shelved to put carriers on, so small furries aren't on floor/dog level. Polite attentive receptionist saw me straight away. Short waiting time, and lovely vet. My dog adored her :) I noticed a treat jar for good dogs too. Made me smile and think of doctors with lolly jar for the nervous children. All round was a fantastic experience, with helpful staff, who were clear on what they would like to do and if there was another option. They soothed a worried owner and kept an injured dog calm.
