We have recently moved to the area with our elderly cat Ebony, who has long term health issues. We had been with our previous vet for over 6 years and he was amazing so we were naturally apprehensive about starting out with a new vet but we shouldn't have worried; the staff at Burton Animal Hospital were welcoming from the off and the standard of care is excellent. Ebony recently had some blood tests and within 24 hours the vet had called to discuss next steps, taking her time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. Really pleased we chose this practice

Staff are friendly and always make a fuss of the animals that come through the doors. We always manage to get an appointment last minute which is good.
Only thing is we never seem to see the same vet...
Staff are friendly and always make a fuss of the animals that come through the doors. We always manage to get an appointment last minute which is good.
Only thing is we never seem to see the same vet which is a shame as we had to come in 3 days in a row and every day it was a different vet so we had to go back over the story.
The new building is lovely.

Great vets took my robo hamster for his operation of removing his foot did a superb job and follow ups were good. Other vet place at pets at home said his food would drop off and wouldn't do surgery Lockwoods did and he is such a lively little hamster. Take him now for his claws to be cut down and always get great friendly service. Highly recommend to all pet owners

Fantastic, can not fault them at all, they go above and beyond to help your animals and keep you informed all the way, they saved our little girl and 3 beautiful puppies last night, they stayed past there working hours and did everything they could to ensure the safe arrival and the mum was ok, the bill was far less then we expected but when it comes to animals you can't put a price on them, I was that impressed I even went over to Sainsbury's to buy each member of the team a thankyou from me and my wife

Got strung along and ripped off, our cat died a slow death suffering unnecessarily due to incompetence, took to another vets who immediately diagnosed and put cat to sleep at a discount because they realised what a rough ride we had. My partner had been taking cat and when nurse realised I was someone different fobbed me off that cat put on weight when in fact was the same weight. Shocking and heard many stories since. Never mind I'm sure our 1600 is long gone and spent!

Found a lost Cat who was skinny and underfed outside the company I work for it had been there 3-4 days. I took it to Lockwood to see if they would check it over so I could take it home but didn't want to do so without it being checked over as I already have 2 cats and a dog. They refused and simply told me to put it back where I found it after telling me it was not microchipped. Fucking appalling behaviour from a vets who are meant to care for the welfare of animals. Would not recommend and would never want my animals treated by the heartless staff that work there.

Was a great service but feel has gone downhill recently. I am not impressed because was advised by a receptionist that Advocate which they'd put my cats on killed tapeworms and their ver then told me it did not. Subsequently all three of my cats have now been at risk of worms and one of them sick as a result. I will be visiting them today re this.

I had an eye operation for my sharpei which was looked at several times at the other branch and only advised to get get done never serious so I decided to sell my MacBook Pro to raise the 500 pound to pay for it which I was insured but u have to pay first lets just say I'm bitterly disappointed with the claim the vets filled out and I have cancelled the insurance as they have refused to pay out I feel stitched up by both parties I will not be using them again plus they are expensive for amateur advice not at all very professional

We have recently moved to the area with our elderly cat Ebony, who has long term health issues. We had been with our previous vet for over 6 years and he was amazing so we were naturally apprehensive about starting out with a new vet but we shouldn't have worried; the staff at Burton Animal Hospital were welcoming from the off and the standard of care is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly and we have just been through a very difficult time with our chihuahua and the vet was lovely and very thorough,I was worried and anxious but she reassured me and put my mind at ease

i just turned up they said no appointment needed.Friendly, welcoming and just lovely with my Molly,gave her all the time we needed and a very low bill at the end. really good and recomended

I had an eye operation for my sharpei which was looked at several times at the other branch and only advised to get get done never serious so I decided to sell my MacBook Pro to raise the 500 pound to pay for it which I was insured but u have to pay first lets just say I'm bitterly disappointed with the claim the vets filled out and I have cancelled the insurance as they have refused to pay out I feel stitched up by both parties I will not be using them again plus they are expensive for amateur advice not at all very professional
