Spoke to me like rubbish,rolled her eyes as our dog whined (we waited outside outside due to the COVID situation which we completely understand) maybe some learning of how to speak to people properly as don’t forget some people are bringing pets as they are worried,the not very nice receptionist speaking to people like that isn’t going to make owners feel better!!and rolling your eyes and getting frustrated at dogs barking or whining it’s a vets !!!maybe re think the job you really want to do

I don't get there as often anymore but they were brilliant when my dog was just a puppy. She had stomach issues and they nursed her back to health in no time. They offer a pet plan that gives discount on products as well as free flea and worming tablets. The reception lady is always helpful. My dog may not like to visit but I think they are excellent

The vets are very nice here don't get me wrong and so are the nurses but the front of house staff of disgusting rude and would not help my dog when she was poorly. She had a bad urinary problem in which she could have died from but they didn't want to help very dismissive and wasn't the first occasion they had been rude to us. We are now with bakewell vets and couldn't be more happy with the service we received from them and our beautiful dog is now pain and ailment free. If you can get beyond the receptionists here then you will get a good service from overdale.

Came here for a second opinion on my poor itchy puppy. Within 6 days of her treatment suggested by these brilliant Vets, she has spent the whole day without her buster collar on and not chewed herself once! My poor girly has spent the last 9 months in a buster collar due to uncontrollable itching. Certainly getting it under control now! Thank you very much, you have changed my little girls life already!

Overdale look after our animals with true care and thought,from our cats, hedgehog,goats, pigs,sheep,donkeys,dogs,horses,ponies,dogs and all our poultry! Nothing fazes them and I cannot express enough their support and understanding of the deep sadness when we have to have one put to sleep. Care for the .animal and owner has always been amazing at this time, and after 9 years with them I have ever been let down. A wonderful caring practice that I cannot recommend high enough!!

i have used this vets for years and always been happy with there service ,bank holiday Monday my lovely cat at 17 years old had a stroke,I had to phone the emergency vet out.With in 20 mins the vet was there,We knew she needed to be put to sleep and were devastated ,the vet who came was so caring,honest and made the whole situation that bit easier (He even removed his shoes before coming into our home).Yes there was a call out charge but to know our baby was not suffering anymore canceled that out,Thank you for being a caring,honest,reliable vets x

When I was told my dog had cancer, that it was inoperable due to its location and that my dog would need palliative medications, the vets were wonderful. They explained medication options and the side effects. However, when I called to renew his medications I found the receptionist very officious, complaining that I needed to give 24hrs notice prior to collection. I had initially been told to call at the end of the week to inform the vets how he had got on and to arrange further medication if it was suiting my dog's needs. I rang Thursday as I had doses until Saturday morning but would be in work Friday. When I explained that this information had not been given to me and that I was anxious that my dog should not be left without his medication I was told she would sort something out, but in future to give the required notice. I found this attitude extremely upsetting. Perhaps in future a slip could be given out with the medication informing people of how to renew. Although in my case it was simply a lack of correct instructions on the part of the surgery. I feel it should be remembered that when you are told your beloved pet is dying not everyone will retain information given. On the plus side the surgery did call back but this experience has marred an otherwise perfect service.

The vets are very nice here don't get me wrong and so are the nurses but the front of house staff of disgusting rude and would not help my dog when she was poorly. She had a bad urinary problem in which she could have died from but they didn't want to help very dismissive and wasn't the first occasion they had been rude to us. We are now with bakewell vets and couldn't be more happy with the service we received from them and our beautiful dog is now pain and ailment free. If you can get beyond the receptionists here then you will get a good service from overdale.

When I was told my dog had cancer, that it was inoperable due to its location and that my dog would need palliative medications, the vets were wonderful. They explained medication options and the side effects. However, when I called to renew his medications I found the receptionist very officious, complaining that I needed to give 24hrs notice prior to collection. I had initially been told to call at the end of the week to inform the vets how he had got on and to arrange further medication if it was suiting my dog's needs. I rang Thursday as I had doses until Saturday morning but would be in work Friday. When I explained that this information had not been given to me and that I was anxious that my dog should not be left without his medication I was told she would sort something out, but in future to give the required notice. I found this attitude extremely upsetting. Perhaps in future a slip could be given out with the medication informing people of how to renew. Although in my case it was simply a lack of correct instructions on the part of the surgery. I feel it should be remembered that when you are told your beloved pet is dying not everyone will retain information given. On the plus side the surgery did call back but this experience has marred an otherwise perfect service.
