Sadly we lost our beautiful girl Tilly-Mae this week at the age of 11 and we would never have got through it without the wonderful team at Ashfield Vets . We have been with the practice since Tilly was a puppy and have always had such friendly service from Jane and her Reception team and the are always so welcoming and ready to help. Katie, Jade and Ben have been our regular vets and are true heroes in our eyes and have always been so kind and compassionate whenever we have h...ad to visit with either Tilly or our other beautiful girl Ruby . This week was one our hardest weeks ever but our decision was made so much easier with the help of Katie and the empathy shown when it came to the inevitable. We can't thank you all enough for everything that you have done and continue to do and we would recommend your practice to anyone . Thank you Charlotte and Dave Booth x See More Read Less

We rushed our 5 y/o Maltese here as an emergency at midnight on Sunday the 8th of Jan, within an hour of him not being able to urinate due to a calcium-oxylate stone lodged in his urethra. Now, when treated immediately and adequately with surgery, medication and constant monitoring, the prognosis is good, however he took a sudden decline. What followed was incredibly stressful and painful for our beautiful boy and sadly we had to do the unthinkable. I genuinely think that although Ashfield operate in a compassionate manner, I'm not convinced that the person who was responsible for him when I took him in acted swiftly enough. I also believe that there was a lack of knowledge regarding the Maltese breed across the surgeons and nurses, as a result I believe some of his symptoms were misunderstood. I have learnt much from this experience. If you are looking for generic care for your pets, Ashfield will probably suffice. But if you need somewhere in an emergency that can really make a difference when it matters, in my opinion you should look elsewhere. (I haven't mentioned names here because that would be unreasonable of me, despite the upset).Read Less
