Well. What can I say. And where do I start. After a very horrible experience with our beloved bulldog. We had to use this surgery as an overnight stay for him whilst he recovered from a very scary episode and 50/50 chance survival because of issues with his breathing. After a very good experience with our own vets at Beaumont’s the same morning. We took him down to this surgery. I expected the same service and never thought for a second that we would receive quite the opposite. I am actually astounded and appalled that the woman who works on your reception is allowed to behave the way she did today. She was from the offset. Uptight, rude, unhelpful, unsympathetic and downright unprofessional. She told lies, refused to give me a face mask, after I explained I dont wear one for a reason. Not that I have to divulge why. I just decided that it would be easier due to her aggressive nature to ask for one. She didn’t listen (by choice) and made her own decision based on (her own admissions she knew nothing about our dog as she “hadn’t read his notes” ) that it was okay to not listen to the fact we were concerned he was going downhill again in the car whilst waiting outside. It’s not hard to work out that we must have been concerned. Because I told her that I found her rude. She then proceeded to have what I can only call a temper tantrum. Refusing to listen. Telling me to “get out”. Amongst other things. Surely it’s common sense that people visiting your practice are both highly emotional and very concerned for there pets welfare. She quite frankly couldn’t have cared less because she let her own ego get in the way. Not only this but your so called vet. Whom didn’t introduce herself or tell me who she was took no notice of our concerns or the fact that her fellow team member had behaved so appallingly. She disregarded my comment about my experience. And quite frankly couldn’t have cared less either. Stating thar they are all under and I quote “a lot of pressure”. Does this validate your staffs rude behaviour then. Perhaps if you can’t deal with the pressure I would suggest your in the wrong job. Do you also perhaps think that we might have been incredibly upset.. She took the dog and apparently looked our dog over for what was a few minutes and decided that he was “absolutely fine” and the reason why we had to wait was becasue they were dealing with “genuine cases”. I mean are you guys for real. It clearly was not the case or he wouldn’t have been in to stay with you. And his breathing was far from “normal”. She didn’t even correctly diagnose what my very experienced vet had already stated was the problem. I had to tell her. Perhaps you should read through your very poor reviews (compared to other vets) and take note of the consistent comments about missed issues with pets and very poor rude staff. You should be embarrassed that somebody who is the first face you are greeted with when you arrive can behave in such a childish and bratty unprofessional and quite frankly pathetic manner. Thanks for making an already horrible experience worse for us. Was so kind of you all. I will be pursuing this and taking it further. You preach on about an outstanding service. But that doesn’t mean you use this as a reason to get away with being quite frankly vile to people who are paying you nearly 1000 pound to look after there pet. Will be making sure I tell people never to use your service and perhaps to attend a much more friendlier professional personal vets such as Beaumont’s who never seem to find anything to inconvenient. And funnily enough don’t have a single negative review compared to your many bad ones. It’s unusual to have more than one or two. Amd it says to me that you perhaps need to look at the level of customer service your practice offers. Read Less
