I suspected my cat was having kidney problems and the vet at Locke & Preston that I took him to see asked me to collect a urine sample. I got one the next day and returned it to them immediately. I was told that the results would take up to three days to come back and that I could expect a call as soon as they were back. Fours days later I called them and was told the vet in question would call back, they didn't. I called several times over the next two weeks but the vet was never available and I was repeatedly promised she would call me back. After a fortnight of being fobbed off I went to the practice in person and confronted one of the directors. I was told that the urine sample was un-testable and I must have left it sitting for too long, untrue. In the mean time my cat's condition had worsened considerably with no treatment and despite the alleged lack of a urine sample the same director/senior vet saw him and started treatment for, ta-dah, kidney failure. It was too late for him to recover though and I had to have him put down ten days later. He may not have recovered even with proper care but who's to say for certain? The first vet would not come out to speak to me when I demanded an apology and the director told me that his apology on her behalf was all I would get. The vet responsible for my pets unnecessary suffering and pain shall remain nameless, let's just say she has no Grace.. Read Less
