Silverton Veterinary Surgery is an independent small animal practice providing an excellent standard of care to pets and their owners in a friendly and welcoming manner. The practice offers their own 24hr emergency service and the vets have full access to full nursing support in emergencies and out of hours cases.
The practice has been serving the Torbay area for over 25yrs with branches in Paignton,Torquay and Brixham.

Added another £200 to original quote for a small operation on my dog, how is that possible!! It was removal of a fatty lump on her leg, I'm not a vet, but Im guessing that's a pretty standard procedur...

Money grabber's, taking advantage of people who are gonna pay for their beloved pets, regardless of cost.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I feel at ease knowing the information and advice I am being given by the vets and nurses will benefit my animal before anything else. It's always difficult to trust other people with your beloved pets, but the staff at Paignton really do care. I alwaus recommend Silverton to anyone asking for vet recommendations! Thank you!

Bernie and Elaine in Paignton are absolutely amazing. Our doggie managed to get a stick stuck in her so far down nobody could see it! They did an amazing job in getting to the bottom of it (literally)...
Bernie and Elaine in Paignton are absolutely amazing. Our doggie managed to get a stick stuck in her so far down nobody could see it! They did an amazing job in getting to the bottom of it (literally) and now taking good care of her. Gentleman who was at reception when we bought her in was also lovely and we are really impressed with the whole process from registration to now. Thank you so much! X

Used the vets at brixham (the sister practice ) when on holiday , staff where friendly helpful and great service , as we thought we may have to put the dog down due to heart problems at one point , we where luckily enough to found a vet who was able to help with injections and pills - so we are able to enjoy our 4 legged friend a bit longer ( finger crossed )

Its reassuring if not slightly concerning that we may visit too frequently; but with Chief being my first dog I am constantly reassured by how well he is looked after and appreciate the advice and guidance we receive. Chief is known for his enthusiasm as soon as we walk through the door and although they have many clients the vet always seems to remember what we've previously discussed. Chief loves going to the vets a bit too much! Great patient and owner care! Would always recommend.

Very happy with the vet, she was amazing, thank you. However, Pookie has never been in a basket and is always on a harness and leash, but the receptionist wouldn't let me bring her in "just in case a ...
Very happy with the vet, she was amazing, thank you. However, Pookie has never been in a basket and is always on a harness and leash, but the receptionist wouldn't let me bring her in "just in case a dog wasn't happy, and it is practice policy". Even though I explained she has always been okay and dogs have never caused a problem, even those that barked at her. The other practice always allow her in and there has never been a problem. We were made to sit in the car for 45 minutes instead. Please, listen to your patients owners, they after all know their pets and how to control them.

To all the wonderful caring staff at Silverton over the past 14 1/2 years. Vet Richard and Vet Kath I would like to say thank you for being so kind to me and my dog Lucy, making Lucy feel relaxed when nervous. Especially in the last year when she needed so much more care for her arthritis, 2 tumours and loss of one eye in an accident. And when the time came for her to say goodbye, although it was hard for me to let go, I appreciate the gentle way Vet Lily and nurse Jade made Lucy's passing comfortable and peaceful at home just where she wanted to be, surrounded by people who loved her. I hope one day I will be your customer again.

After months of problems with my dog and my old vets being useless we finally signed up to this vets and had the best service today she really listened to us and finally gave us some great advice we have changed our dogs food now to help his skin and been given some treatment for him and already 12hrs on he is already so much better and not chewing his feet as much, we are so happy after months of seeing our dog suffer we have finally had the help we needed and will certainly recommend them to everyone really am extremely happy can't say thank you enough :D

The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I feel at ease knowing the information and advice I am being given by the vets and nurses will benefit my animal before anything else. Very happy with the vet, she was amazing, thank you. However, Pookie has never been in a basket and is always on a harness and leash, but the receptionist wouldn't let me bring her in "just in case a dog wasn't happy, and it is practice policy".
