This vet was the first vet to push bravecto onto us. Each time we attended service was excellent except for being made to feel pressured to purchase flea and rich treatment. Insecticides are bad for us, our pets. And nature, and should be used as infrequently as possible, and not pushed to use every month as big pharma would like. ''Does bravecto kill does Dogs?'' Went here when my dog had a rash. Changed to this vet due to good reviews. I was told over the phone it would cost 14.95 as it was my first visit. I was actually charged 50 (without medication) as I was told the visit was a "second opinion". How was it a second opinion when I was changing practices???!!! Ridiculous! Would not recommend. The most honest and trusted vet and team. I would not take my animals anywhere else. I have had hamsters, cat, rabbits and a dog and they have all been treated well. I booked an appointment to update my dogs rabies vaccination and he didn't do it. I could not get my dog back home from Europe as he was lacking this vaccine!!!! The secretary was extremely rude, saying I probably hadn't even booked an appointment to have it done! (Though she wasn't even there when it happened months earlier!). As the vet was away in South Africa when this happened, I tried to write him when he got back, explaining the situation, but I never heard back at all. I cannot thank Duncan and Roborough Vets enough. I have never experienced, and cannot imagine, any other vets giving so much support and care as Duncan and his colleagues have given whilst our cat Paris has been ill. Paris has been seriously ill and her long term outcome is still not certain. However 2 weeks ago she was at deaths door but thanks to Duncan thinking outside the box she is still with us and relatively well. Not only has he helped Paris so much, he has also been so supportive to us as a family with phone calls daily when Paris was seriously ill. We were recommended by our son and how right he was. Definitely recommend this vets. Very friendly staff whenever we have phoned them and Duncan was very helpful with our pet tortoise who had a sore eye (thankfully who is all better now) and was very knowledgable on the breed. I came to Duncan and the team after a bad experience some where else and I can honestly say it was the best move ever for my doggies. I love the fact that Roborough vets is so personal and friendly. Lovely staff and a vet you can trust. I went to several vet's in plymouth with my cat who was a stay. No one listened to me when i said he reacts to the cat flu jab until Duncan explained he already had the virus. saving me a lot of money on annual jabs, and losing them the money (not many vets would tell you that) They keep costs to the minimum and give great advice.Has treated my cat for a cruciate ligament tare and recently teeth extraction and ear infection he is now the grand age of 15 and doing very well,also treated my rabbits and dog very well.
