They clearly do not care about animals. I appreciate everyone is busy but as a vet practice, I assumed that the animals needs always go first. Not the case for this place. I tried to book an appointment for my ill pet and mentioned that we potentially need to put her down which was hard enough to discuss but their answer was ‘well, we rather give our appointments to our clients than a person who never been here before’ whilst laughing. Putting a beloved pet down is anything but funny. She then had to ask for permission and said that they could see us but I have already lost trust and hope in this place. No way my beloved pet would have her last moments with people who clearly do not give a damn about pets. DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTED! Read Less

Would never use them. No duty of care. Nearly lost our dog through misdiagnosis. Young girl vet extremely rude.

I recently signed up my rescue greyhound with Drakes Vets and have been very impressed with both the friendly attitude and knowledge of the staff there. They seem to be very reasonably priced, my dog loves the attention and treats, and you can tell everyone there is in it for the love of animals. Greyhounds have different vitals to other breeds and staff not knowing this can lead to unecessary stress and can even be dangerous. I was very happy to see that the staff had great knowledge of this and felt my dog was in great hands there. If you have a sighthound in particular I would heavily reccomend this practice as they know sighthounds, one of the staff actually owns lurchers herself. Read Less
