I really don't like the fact that there is no separate area for cat's & dog's.
My poor cat's pant and cry with anxiety going in the car without dog's running up sniffing and barking. I know they have emergency appointments coming in constantly but i'm disabled, suffer from social anxiety and agraphobia. The last two times i've been just for annual vacations, we had to wait for over an hour.
Please don't get me wrong PDSA do an amazing job, shame the people who abuse it make it harder.

Not very rabbit friendly Vet!! Staff in waiting area were lovely, but the vet we saw made a huge drama with our rabbit, and didn't listen to us at all. Wasn't great with handling our rabbit and tried to blame us for not having a tame rabbit!! Our rabbit is such a softie and was completely man handled because his reaction was fear. The vet refused to examine him because he wouldn't sit still on a high table !!?!
Our rabbit is a house rabbit and interactive with lots of children daily, always being touched and handled so absolutely the vets inexperience, not ours. Disappointed as such lovely reviews of this vets but had to share, hopefully a one off experience!

Worst vet ever. Never pick up the phone. The staff are rude and speak to you like dirt because you're on benefits. The overworked/tired vets are rude and lack compassion. If you cant work in that kind...
Worst vet ever. Never pick up the phone. The staff are rude and speak to you like dirt because you're on benefits. The overworked/tired vets are rude and lack compassion. If you cant work in that kind of environment and maintain a level of politeness towards people with sick/dying animals then you shouldn't be in that job in my opinion.
A friend of mine also had a similar experience and we are in agreement that this vet is not a nice place.
Going to the PDSA really was a horrible, depressing experience each time because of the way they treat people. We are not all dole spongers trying to live for free. Some of us have fallen on hard times temporarily.
I always donated after treatment but was still treated with disdain. I complained a couple of times about the way I was spoken to.
I'm so glad to have my life back on track and be off benefits and able to afford private vets again.

I think this place is absolutely excellent I took my dog in as she wasn't well ,they signed me up straight away and I saw the vet within 10 minutes of being there , they gave me a cream for my Collie ...
I think this place is absolutely excellent I took my dog in as she wasn't well ,they signed me up straight away and I saw the vet within 10 minutes of being there , they gave me a cream for my Collie , she is better now thanks to you. I also had my mums dog who was 13 in our years , we thought that he was ok , but he was in pain so when we took him to the PDSA they removed his cists and then we thought that he was fine , BUT then we showed the vet his poorly foot and we found out that he had a tuma on his toe , they shaved his hair and found it , me and my mum was shocked it was spreading and had been for a while , so the vet said that he is in alot of pain with it , and it would be better for him if he went to sleep , he would have only been in so much pain if he didn't go to sleep , bless you Tyson we all love you so much for ever XXXXXX if we didn't it would have been so cruel to him x the vet was amazing and gave us time with him , and then let him go to sleep x but it was the best thing to do for him , we would not want him to be in any more pain , so yes they are excellent there x if it wasn't for them we would not have known that he had a tuma x thankyou again for your help and support and care towards Tyson . We use them now for our other dogs as there amazing people who understand exactly how you feel x thankyou once again xxxxxxxxx

My dog & kitten are both registered with the PDSA at Bournemouth. I've had 3 trips there so far, for the kittens 1st & 2nd set of shots, the dogs annual booster jab, had both of them microchipped & the kitten neutered. The dog was done years ago, before someone thinks I'm being irresponsible there! On each of the 3 visits the waiting area has been clean, the staff polite & welcoming & the care given to both pets superb. We saw a different vet each time and each of them were prepared to talk through options/offer advice. The whole procedure for neuting the kitten was explained carefully as were the risks & the staff on the phone were very reassuring when I phoned for an update on him. Both the dog & the kitten were relaxed & showed no fear of any of the staff although the kitten was rather miffed after he had been neutered! By the time I arrived to pick him up, they had fed him some fresh cooked chicken & he was on his way to forgiving them! His aftercare was explained thoroughly & any signs to watch for in particular. Would have no hesitation in taking either pet back there in the future.

The lady I initially spoke to on the telephone before visiting here was very helpful , as were the reception staff on arrival . However the particular vet I saw that day was VERY rude. My dog had a bad problem with his rear legs, and I was dismayed at the vets uncaring and obnoxious attitude towards my animal . Do not see HIM !!!!! He is useless, and his expertise is questionable ....maybe i was just unlucky on the day I went ......

Wasn't great with handling our rabbit and tried to blame us for not having a tame rabbit!! Our rabbit is such a softie and was completely man handled because his reaction was fear. Great staff when i went to get my cat of 11 stripes seen to he has been in the wars a hell of a lot but the vet i saw Uwe was very helpful!!!
:) was understanding of my limitations and slowly my stripes is returning to good health :)

When I was taken off of hold I then finished what I was asking her as my cat had gone missing and am very upset she took his details down and told me not to get my hopes up!?

My dog & kitten are both registered with the PDSA at Bournemouth. I've had 3 trips there so far, for the kittens 1st & 2nd set of shots, the dogs annual booster jab, had both of them microchipped & the kitten neutered. The dog was done years ago, before someone thinks I'm being irresponsible there! On each of the 3 visits the waiting area has been clean, the staff polite & welcoming & the care given to both pets superb. We saw a different vet each time and each of them were prepared to talk through options/offer advice. The whole procedure for neuting the kitten was explained carefully as were the risks & the staff on the phone were very reassuring when I phoned for an update on him. Both the dog & the kitten were relaxed & showed no fear of any of the staff although the kitten was rather miffed after he had been neutered! By the time I arrived to pick him up, they had fed him some fresh cooked chicken & he was on his way to forgiving them! His aftercare was explained thoroughly & any signs to watch for in particular. Would have no hesitation in taking either pet back there in the future.

The lady I initially spoke to on the telephone before visiting here was very helpful , as were the reception staff on arrival . However the particular vet I saw that day was VERY rude. My dog had a bad problem with his rear legs, and I was dismayed at the vets uncaring and obnoxious attitude towards my animal . Do not see HIM !!!!! He is useless, and his expertise is questionable ....maybe i was just unlucky on the day I went ......
