General Info
We are a long-standing, friendly and caring practice, taking great pride to harmoniously provide exceptional care for you and your animals.Our compassionate team are devoted to ensure every patient gets individualised holistic treatment.
We treat small animals like cats and dogs and we also cater for our equine friends! We can do home visits for all!
Being a small team, we are more able to fit in around our customers needs and we also provide all of our own out of hour cover. You will always see a member of the regular team if you need to be seen in an emergency and at the normal site! It is situated conveniently close to the centre of town with reserved parking.

Now moved to Gillingham but still go to this vets. Trust them implicitly. If offered blood tests before operation have them...my daxi had them and diagnosed with lymphoma early enough to treat it. 4 ...

The staff here are amazing. They have been very good with my 12 year old lab who is getting old and couldn't walk and wasn't eating. 2 weeks later it's like I have a different dog. One that is happy playful and full of life again. I can't recommend this place enough. The care and attention they paid to my dog is lovely.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Blackmore Vale Vets. I found a lump on my dog on the 27th so popped in on the 28th to have it checked out. The lump has now been removed and my dog is at home recovering. Thanks again to a great team who always go the extra mile. I would highly recommend the Blackmore Vale Veterinary team and wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

Not happy at all!!!! Came to do a 5 stage vetting...failed the horse on being lame on all 4 legs, having an horrendous heart murmur and heave lines 2 days after it had just won an intermediate hunter ...
Not happy at all!!!! Came to do a 5 stage vetting...failed the horse on being lame on all 4 legs, having an horrendous heart murmur and heave lines 2 days after it had just won an intermediate hunter trial!!! Couldn't believe it! Obviously lost the sale which was 5k +!! Got my vets out Damory to do the same vetting for my own personal benefit and it passed with flying colours! No heart murmur, no heave lines and certainly not unsound! Vets don't know what a horses heart should sound like, don't know what a horse should look like and certainly don't know how a horse goes when barefoot as opposed to being shod Then to top things off, they encouraged a livery of mine to find grass for a mare and foal who didn't have a huge amount of access to it, to find lots of grass! Mare has been living off limited grass but with plenty of haylage and hay and feed to subsidise this for two years very happily! Now all I can see is if this mare is moved onto lush pasture after all this time she is likely to colic leaving the foal Without a mother!!! The livery is so obsessed about what the vets have recommended she's going to move them...all I can see is a foal without a mum soon absolutely completely and utterly disgusted with these vets!

FANTASTIC service, Brilliant friendly staff, who are always very kind and caring towards my dog, I cant recommend this vets enough, have used them for years, dogs, cats and horses were always treated kindly. They also keep you informed of any treatments needed, I.e. boosters etc.,
Unfortunately due to a move I have had to change vets, but I know the new vet and staff would have to work very hard to compete with the Blackmore Vale Veterinary Centre,
keep up the good work, :) x
