These guys are amazing. Been with them for nearly 6 years. Never an issue. Helped diagnose my dog with epilepsy and one time there was 6 of the staff including 3 vets working on him after I'd carried him in. Can't fault them. They're good with cats and dogs. Amazing vets , we have moved up to newcastlemlyn and we had a nasty shock of just how bad the vets are up here in this town . We found a collie wondering lost and cold she jumped into our warm car and refused to move shaking from the cold . We called in every house and farm asking who she belongs to, no one knew her or where she was from she was grossly thin/ starved and marks around its neck from a chain that had cut into her skin. We took her home fed her, bathed her and kept her warm all weekend then called the local vet in emlyn they took her in to see if she was chipped , she was micro chipped so they had a duty (so they said )to contact her owners and will let me know if they dont find her owners etc . They happily gave her straight back to the owners without even a thank you and would not let me know if she was ok, I was so upset and showed them the pictures I took of how frail and thin she was and her sores . They said she looked fine when I brought her in ...?? That was because I spent 4 days feeding her 4 times a day and putting healing cream on her ! They refused to comment . So much for animal care . I have since found out I had legal right to refuse to give that poor dog back after the condition she was in and i had the evidence !. Needless to say i will only go where i can trust! So will be traveling back to bury ports vets . The staff receptionist has given us so much invaluable good advice and the vet when bonnie was hit by car was so calm and not in hurry to do needless xrays unlike some vets . Theses vets are genuinely interested in animal health and not in it for the " joy of clocking up your bill" . Would like to say Massive Thank you To all the staff for looking after Sheila Davies while she was Brought in to have a operation. And being in good Hands. And a Really Massive Thank you To Rob The vet. Who done the operation and made Sheila,s life a lot more comfortable to live And other vets who was involved . Story from Sheila I once was a GSD that was suffering with urine infections and rash on my skin Due to over lapped skin and going through pain on a daily Basis . Thanks to Alpha vets in Burry Port As from 09/11/2016 I am now free from the pain I was going through Thanks to my Surgeon Rob The vet I can now live my life a lot more. comfortable And can Not thank the vets and Nurses enough. I just moved to the area a couple yrs ago and my dogs are my life I have had experience with some bad vets in my time but these aren't one of them at least they have the time to listen to my concern about my animals and even though I was very stress wen one my babies had his toe cut off the vets was lovely and they not to expensive either thanks for everything Read Less

Can't speak highly enough of this practise. When I joined, I had an out-of-hours emergency that was dealt with quickly and sympathetically. They didn't know me from Adam but there was no talk of payment and I was trusted to return to continue treatment and had to ask to settle the bill! Since then I have found them friendly, well-resourced and great at their job! My one gripe would be that they don't do appointments and I miss this facility - I'd love to see a daily hour-slot set aside for appointments. I would hate to have to take an animal to be euthanised in a crowded surgery. Read Less

I have visited Alpha many times in the last 10 years and I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. They are amazing. Highly knowledgeable, professional staff that provide excellent service and advice, the animals are always their top priority and it shows. I cannot recommend them highly enough! Read Less

They have always been amazing with my Dexter and Harley. Dexter was very poorly a few years back and was admitted to the hospital for a few days . We feared that we would lose him but they were brilliant with him and he pulled through, we will be forever grateful for the care they gave him . Thank you all! X Read Less

The staff are always very polite & helpful evey time I have to visit with my rottie Bentley. They always seem to have smiles on their faces. Sadly I had to have my female rottie put to sleep a few months ago. But the practice made it easier by coming to my home. So that she was comfortable in her own surroundings. Dan was amazing with her & with me. It's never easy having a beloved fur baby put to sleep but because Dan was so gentle with her & treated her with kindness. She was relaxed and passed peacefully.
