We have used Senlac Veterinary practice for over 10 years now and hold them all in the highest regard. Over the last 38 years we have owned, bred and shown an extremely vulnerable breed the Sussex Spaniel. Senlac have always been extremely supportive of our dogs and personal requirements. Their standards and equipment are of the highest degree and they have considerable compassion not only for their patients but their owners also. They are the best vets in the area and take time to understand the owner's problems associated with looking after a poorly animal. My little Ralphie, cavalier king charles spaniel, has a serious heart condition and without the vets knowledge and kindness, he would not have made the grand age of eleven and a half. Bless their socks! I found an elderly dog loose along The Ridge. After visiting a half-dozen homes seeking info on the dog, I chose to visit the nearest Vet in hope that the dog was chipped. Failing that I was resolved to taking the quite large animal to home, providing safe-harbour until I could find a suitable home. The staff at Senlac were lovely. After scanning a chip was located in the dog's withers. Sadly though, there was no up-to-date contact details - a caveat to all pet owners to keep your details current. The Vet told me they'd be pleased to provide overnight care for the dog in hopes someone contacted. And we placed a 'round-robin' notice on local community facebook pages. Thankfully, the following morning dog and owner were reunited. It had no collar and virtually no details. The vet asked me if the dog responded to any names I'd called it. All I could say is as long as The dog and I had been together it seemed to respond hearing me say "damn it!" I just wonder how many times the poor animal had heard "Come here, damn it!" during the period of its' adventure. Geoff, Lukas, Adrian & Sophie and the reception team were excellent and so caring during a very traumatic time with our little husky .... we moved there after an awful time at Coopers and have now moved all pets there. They are busy and not taking on more pets which I take not as a negative but as a consciences decision to not overload the practice. Read Less

I can't speak highly enough of this practice. My terrier was treated there throughout her 14 years and full care and consideration was given by all staff members that we encountered during that time. We have used Senlac for all three of our rescue dogs for the last 8 to 10 years. We have seen nearly all the staff in that time. We feel we have simply had the best knowledge, advice, care an compassion anyone could wish for. Yesterday I saw a new vet to me an she seemed so young but gave a great deal of time, professional knowledge an feedback to me. It felt very generous an delivered with kindness.
