Sadly, this is no longer an independent veterinary service, but rather a multi-location consortia. Turnover among vets appears rather high. This is possibly due to the diversity of vet staff originating from EU countries such as Italy and Romania, plus further afield. I've been very pleased with the caring and attentive nature of the vets, but take exception to the constant segue from medical care to recommending and selling vet sponsored food items, vitamins, and medications. Today, 10th October 2016, took an injured baby gull to the Sussex Coast Vets at De La Warr Road, about 8am or so from Hastings. It had been hit by a car and possibly two at two different parts of the road (usual at this time of year with some road users) after some mindless individual had thrown a takeaway rice and container in the road, right wing was broken and left eye area was damaged. The poor little thing had plenty of fight left and I have the marks to prove it! The ladies at the vets were very helpful and took the little soul in for whatever they can do. Very good, and very much appreciated by me. Thanks folks. Good to know you are there for these cases. Read Less
