Very happy with the service I've received on my first visit with a young kitten. The friendly staff provided good advice and a thorough check up at the consultation. The Pet Health Club plan offers good value and there was no pressure to sign up. They offer before and after week appointment times, and there's lots of free parking close by. Very happy with the vets and staff unfortunately my dogs who been with beech house since he was a puppy had to be put down in April, The staff and vets was lovely tried there best I was very upset, but they were very nice to myself and my mother, also I had to take my very nervous collie dog there Sarah one of the other vets was amazing so was the nurses, reception staff are lovely too. Very unhappy about false pricing information given to me prior treatment of my pet, despite a very clear request from myself for the all inclusive cost I would incur. Like other reviews here the evential bill presented to me after the procedure was much higher than I was originally told, in my case nearly double! If you are to use Beech House Vet Clinic I would suggest you get a written quote prior to any treatment, don't rely on verbal communication. Be aware the pricing on their website doesn't include V.A.T. though there is no statement indicating this, which I thought was as a requirement. Sadly my pet died a few days later with no visible improvement after the treatment she received. Not a very positive experience, I cannot recommend Beech House Vet Clinic and certainly wouldn't use them again. Read Less

Really pleased to have found this vet practice. We have relocated to Brighton and were looking for a vet who could provide the same excellent levels of service we had experienced in our home town. We were with our previous vets for 18 years and were worried that it would take time for us and our cats to build a relationship with a new vet. Our two dogs visit Beech House fairly regularly as they are on the Beech House pet plan which includes regular check-ups. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and very clear in their explanations of what medication needs to be taken and when. You also have the impression that the vets themselves are very genuine in their concern for the welfare of the animals. Indeed, if thay are not busy they are very quick to come through to the reception area to make a fuss of the our dogs, one of whom can't get enough of the attention (even if that involves a kennel cough vaccination!). The other is more circumspect but actually owes them his life. He would have died had they not operated in time to remove a large plastic bag that had been around the sliced bread he had picked up in Preston Park (he is half labrador after all...) So thank you to everyone at Beech House and may the good work continue!Read Less

To illustrate matters firstly, when we tried in the first instance to explain the following problem to this surgery (thinking there had merely been some mixup with our files or pet care package) we were met with confrontation and called in no uncertain terms 'stupid'. As to the actual problem, about six months ago we signed our kitten into the care of Beech House veterinarians and were reassured as to all the questions we had for the vet. The receptionist said (and the vet reiterated) that neutering came into our care package, I even discussed the ramifications of neutering and an appropriate timeframe with the vet, she advised that it would be around late winter. Six months on we have booked in AND delivered our kitten to Beech House vet - only to be told once we had left her in their care that they would be charging us the full fee for the neutering procedure! The money itself is not an issue, as aforesaid when we attempted to explain what had been described to us when we chose Beech House vet, we were given decidedly icy attitude and actually called stupid, which is entirely unprofessional and an inappropriate way to deal with a possible discrepancy. Previous reassurances from both the vet and receptionist were denied. Very disappointed, not merely for the mistake, mistakes can and will happen and that's fine, but at the way in which this veterinarian has handled it. Read Less

Receptionist specifically told us when we signed our kitten into this veterinarians that she would be cared for and given the appropriate treatments such as neutering, I discussed this at length with the vet who gave me advice about the appropriate age and a timeframe around which I might consider it. Come now the time they have denied these events and attempted to charge us even more money to have our kitten cared for, after taking her all the way up there. Please do not use this vet... They have made false claims, they informed me some opporration were involved in the pet plan, but have now refused the claim and tried charging. The receptionist is rude, along with the vet herself. They have no understanding of the law, and they treat customers with no respect, what so ever. I would completely avoid this vet, it is not worth the hassle, and quiet frankly, due to staff member leaving there has been constant miss leading information, and lying from the practice. This is a really friendly and caring vets. It gives the impression of being a small company who will remember every pet rather than one of the big chains with constantly changing vets and staff. We have signed up for their pet plan which covers all standard things needed such as flea/worming medicine, check ups, discount food etc etc and is amazing value for money. We joined this vets because it was recommended to us by 3 separate people which says it all. Read Less

We visited Beech House recently. We weren't local, but as we were staying in Brighton we needed to make sure our cat was looked after by a vet. We'd visited another vet in the same area and were surprised at how offhand, uncaring and unsympathetic their receptionist was. Beech House was completely different. The reception staff were absolutely superb. Empathetic, kind, human, helpful and really went out of their way to help. We'd recommend the practice very highly indeed. Read Less
