We are an independent family focused vet that cares for small animals. We have 7 local surgeries throughout East Sussex, including Lewes, Telscombe, Rottingdean, Woodingdean, Portslade, Shoreham and Brighton which is our head office. Brighton is the home of our emergency out of hours service called Vetcall and our own cattery. We also offer a referral service for other vets for specific cases. Our nurses run daily clinics, free health clubs and puppy classes. For details on our services or any of our local surgeries visit www.coastwayvets.co.uk.

Freshfield Business Estate Branch I popped in to pick up some advocate for my 2 dogs on Saturday (29th Oct) around 11.45am and the mature lady receptionist behind reception told me I couldn't purchase as my dogs haven't been seen in the past year. I had had a baby so whilst preparing for that I bought extra advocate so I wouldn't need to come back too soon providing my dogs were in good health. I wasn't informed at the time that I'd need to see a vet if it was over a year foRead Less

From a standing start not knowing why my pooch was in such pain, to getting an honest diagnosis, I can't fault how great they've been. A ruptured cruciate ligament would be tough for anyone, let alone a small, older dog. But the operation was executed perfectly and (despite my best efforts), she has already managed to jump up onto the sofa, after only 2 weeks. More than happy with Paul & the team and I look forward to having a much happier, more mobile dog. Read Less

Alastair Ball at the Shoreham by Sea branch has looked after our soppy Labrador Hogan for many years now and I would never trust my beloved pooch to be in the hands of anyone else! One of the first times Alastair saw Hogan (was just routine appt for jabs or something), he diagnosed a mass cell tumour in Hogan's head which had been misdiagnosed on MANY occasions by another vet as a cyst! Luckily, after very invasive surgery, Hogan was all clear. Alastair has also just put one of my daughters beloved guinea pigs through a massive surgery. We are SO grateful to the compassion and care shown by ALL the staff at Shoreham by Sea. Thank you all so much Read Less

Had it not been for the amazing work of Jenny and her team, Kessi would not be here today, having suffered an extremely bad poisoning incident in October last year. Andreas, you have been simply outstanding in the exemplary way you have for many years looked after our beloved Airedale Terriers, Cassius and Kira. Sadly we have lost both of them in less than two months, first and suddenly was Kira at 11.5 years old (who we rescued from Glasgow aged 15 months), and last week Cassius, (who we'd owned since a puppy) at nearly 14 years old - a great age for an Airedale! We take solace and reassurance in knowing that both dogs had a wonderful life with us and that we, together with Andreas's help did everything possible for them. Not only in being a super vet over the years and especially in the twilight of their time he has been a rock of support to us and his deep care and understanding the dogs' needs shining through every time. Going beyond the immediate medical care, when Kira passed, Andreas also suggested we think about getting another, smaller female dog to ease the grief and also give some new life to the ageing Cassius. We love Terrier character so settled on a Lakeland Terrier - found a lovely breeder in Leicester and two weeks ago became the proud owners of Sasha. They became great friends for only 10 days before Cassius sadly went to the Grand Kennel above (again Andreas and Paula at Rottingdean were simply amazing at this time - so truly caring and professional), but I truly believe Cassius had welcomed her into the family before handing over his mantle. Had we not taken Andreas's advice we would have been in an awful place at the moment, but having Sasha as a new lease of life in the home is a gift! She's so full of life and character it's impossible to be sad for too long - although Cassius and Kira will always be in our hearts. A totally new idea and shot across the bows from Andreas saying we should consider showing her her...let's she how she develops in time but thank you for all you have done for the Airedale's and undoubtedly in the future for Sasha too. Thank you very much Andreas - born to be a veterinary surgeon!Read Less
