I rarely leave reviews but after speaking with staff (once I got through), I was assured a call back to make a complaint but this was not forthcoming. I had the unpleasant experience of having to deal with a junior, Ben Capehorn, who, the first time round was dismissive, abrupt and uncaring. Once, again I had to see him as no-one else was available and he was again rude, disingenuous and seemed to humour the fact I cared so deeply about my animals. I am sure he is just young and inexperienced but the other vets have been so professional in my past dealings. So disappointing.

I wanted to write this review to say a huge thank you to all the lovely staff at Southdowns for all of their help and support in the really difficult time when our Border Terrier Trevor was so unwell....
I wanted to write this review to say a huge thank you to all the lovely staff at Southdowns for all of their help and support in the really difficult time when our Border Terrier Trevor was so unwell. We had to take him to the emergency practice in Brighton after hours as he was so sick and they gave him treatment and kept us constantly informed of his condition, he was then moved back to the hove branch were he had an operation to remove a stone from his stomach and again received amazing care from start to finish! Thank you all so much for saving our little dog we will be forever great full for everything you did xx

Such a lovely bunch of people at Southwick!!! My gorgeous little Razzle left us in Nov and Mehdi and the girls handled our devastation with such love and sensitivity. The care and support they gave Raz with his diabetes was amazing. We have recently moved to Findon but there is no way I would change vets for our other animals, their service is excellent. We've been coming here for 35 years, it was the Wilton House Practise then. First with our standard poodles, then our standard wire haired dachshunds and now with our Parson Jack Russell. All our dogs, bar one, keenly entered the premises, only one of our standard poodles had to be 'encouraged' in. All the staff are very caring and competent, I think our first dachshund, Beth, won all the staff's hearts, when kept in she was allowed to roam where she wanted. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Sadly, my lovely cat Charlie had to be put to sleep yesterday, but the team fought hard for him and showed him so much love, I am so grateful. I rarely leave reviews but after speaking with staff (once I got through), I was assured a call back to make a complaint but this was not forthcoming. I wanted to write this review to say a huge thank you to all the lovely staff at Southdowns for all of their help and support in the really difficult time when our Border Terrier Trevor was so unwell.
