I spoke today to this practise about having my son's cats' nails clipped. They were informed they are indoor cats. I was told that they do not cut a cats nails for the convenience of the owner. My other indoor cats always had their nails trimmed because they cannot naturally take down the length of the nail and this causes them problems with dew claws and nails curving under if they are too long. The receptionist and nurse thought they had dis-connected the telephone and I heard a rant about me having nothing else to do but want my cats' nails clipped...it want on for a few minutes in this vein... I spoke to a reputable veterinary practise in Worthing who agreed with me that indoor cats do need their nails clipped if the nails are at a point where the length is causing the cat to be uncomfortable. I am completely bemused about the incidence - this has superseded annoyance as they are completely wrong and were very rude. Read Less
