My dog Izzy had two very big fatty tumours, though they were benign and not cancerous, but they did get quite big very quickly, we took her to our vets, and booked her in to have them removed. On the day of the operation I dropped her off at 8.30am the vets phoned about 1pm saying that she has about 4 more smaller lumps that also would need removing, but they advised me that because she was old (11) and in a lot of pain that they don't think it's worth putting her through the operation and gave me the option to put her to sleep. I wasn't quite happy with what they were telling me and I thought I would seek a second opinion. The second vet said the same thing but referred me to Mr A. DIMITRIOU DVD. Cert SAS . M.R.C.V.S from Wellcare Veterinary centre high Road Laindon Essex. When Mr Dimitriou was looking at Izzy's lumps, I said, "The vets I've seen are saying I should put her to sleep,"
Mr Dimitriou said, "No I wouldn't do that,"
'You're my man' I thought: the operation was a success and two weeks later Izzy is still chasing the postman - she has never stopped chasing the postman even when she had the lumps.
I would like to thanks Mr Dimitriou for saving my dogs life. Read Less
