There is no other practice like this one. Alan and his team are unbeatable. Our pets mean a great deal to them - they are not just there to make a living - they genuinely care for our pets. I would trust them completely and take their advice whatever it were to be. I only wish they could treat us humans too! Well done for never allowing the service to falter over the 16 years I’ve brought my various pets to you. Long may you continue! Read Less

Mr Hatch and his team have always cared for my dogs with great empathy and skill. I trust them in everything. We lost a dog to lymphoma 2 years ago. Mr Hatch saw us at short notice throughout our dog’s time on chemotherapy if we had any worries. His care and understanding was amazing. He was with us like a family member throughout that journey. I could not recommend this practice more highly. Never underestimate how reassuring it is to be able to see your own vet for an early hours emergency rather than a stranger in a 24hr emergency vet you never saw before. Read Less

After a very bad experience at my previous vet, I asked my dog walking friends who they went to. Whenever I heard Summerdale referred to, it was always followed by great compliments about the practice and more specifically about Alan Hatch. So I transferred my dog there and he has been incredibly well cared for. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Alan always takes the time to explain things to you. My dog has just had a hip replacement at a referral unit and the advice I have received leading up to and since the operation has been invaluable. I would recommend them to anyone. :-) Read Less

If there was on option for 0/5 I would use that. I strongly recommend you consider other vet surgeries before visiting this one for the welfare of your animal. My late cat, Alvin, was put down last year. He had been registered with summerdale for 5 years, as a female. We wanted to have her spayed so booked in for that, they did a preliminary check and went ahead with opening her up. An hour later we receive a call back saying they cannot locate her ovaries? So, they carry on looking. We then receive a call saying she was indeed a male. They snipped him the same day. A month later he recovered fine, until he suddenly started to eat/drink/urinate far too much. We took him back to the vets and they said no, he's fine. Two days later Alvin is not eating, not drinking and barely awake. We take him back to find he has lost half of his body weight?! They keep him in overnight, not updating us. They then call us to say he has a very rare form of diabetes and is too far gone to save. Turns out that during the unnecessary spaying operation they put him through, they disrupted his pancreas. If it wasn't for this vets my cat would be alive and well. He was only 5. Read Less
