DO NOT GO TO THIS VET THEY ARE CON ARTISTSI would give them a 0 if it was an option! They are completely unprofessional. They told me I was seeing a exotic vet for my bunny but I have since found out she wasn't and she made out my bunny was dying, charged me so much money for tests and I go no results other than a £300 bill!! I stress to anyone don't make the same mistake I did. Ivone Goncalves is not a good vet and she doesn't care about animals just getting money out of people. I tried to explain what happened to the best friends group manager who after a 5 week wait told me they weren't giving me a refund or any compensation. Very upset with my awful experience!! Read Less

Outstanding. Peter has treated both my cats with great care and ensures they get the best treatment. I wouldn't go to anywhere else.

Our cat had Lymphoma and Peter (the vet at best friends) gave good advice and treatment, referring the cat to Royal vet college for chemo as he was only young and otherwise healthy so had a good chance. Unfortunately, after several months of quality life, the cat ultimately had to be put to sleep by Peter, probably the most humane and caring vet I've come across- he also came to our house to put an elderly cat to sleep in 2016 so she wouldnt be distressed. The other vet I would recommend is William Lewis at Orchid vets, another man I trust to give me a straight answer about my pets. The only problem i had with Best friends or Orchid was when locum vets were on duty. One of the receptionists verbally abused another customer while I (and several other people) were in the waiting room on one occasion - the customer was a softly spoken lady who got very upset. The surgery our dog had needed to be repeated because the first surgery 'failed' and I don't believe that the surgical risks or post operative care were adequately explained. Finally, despite paying well over £3,000 to them already this year I have just received a threatening letter saying that fees of around £400 that I had no prior knowledge of are owing (no invoice, no phone call - just a threat to transfer the debt to a debt collector who will add extra charges and an additional threat that my dog's medical care might be compromised!). Having phoned pet insurer I'm told the fees relate to two invoices one of which they have already paid about 4 weeks ago and a second which they say the vet never submitted the claim form for! Utterly pathetic service. Should have stopped using them the day I watched a receptionist flip out and shout at someone - might have saved myself and my dog a lot of grief. Read Less
