Absolutely brilliant place, one of the best vets I have ever been to. Swapped to here from pets at home vets and so happy I did as they are so much better here. We moved overseas with our dog a few years ago but used Mayne Vets while we lived in Colchester. The staff were so caring towards Eddie and were so helpful, calm and knowledgeable about the moving process. We would not hesitate to recommend them. I could not be any happier with our choice of vets. I don't have a bad word to say about any of the staff members at Mayne at all. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Charlotte and Emma are fantastic at their job. If you're looking for a vets you can trust, these guys are it. They've never made me feel silly for anything, even with something like removing a tick from Oreo because I didn't feel comfortable doing it. I can't count the amount of times I've phoned them for advice and not once have I ever been turned away, from Oreo bin diving for a Chicken Carcass to her being stung on the paw pads with stinging nettles, they've advised me on what to look out for and suggested piriton for her paws.Read Less

Charlotte and her team have been looking after my cats for a few years now and although we live outside of Colchester I wouldn't dream of changing. Our cats range from a very grumpy 19 year old lady with hyperthyroidism to a 1 year old little miss who managed to split her stitches after she was spayed because she insisted on beating up her big brother! Molls popped her stitches on a Saturday morning but they stayed behind and sorted her out without a moan or a grumpy word and she was just fine after. They are very kind to the animals and don't hold back if something needs to be done. I am the owner of a very elderly dog and he is always looked after properly if he needs to stay over night. Twice he has had bad infections but they helped him recover. I would defiantly recommend this vet.Read Less
