Mr McNeil is amazing vet . My retriever benji when he was a puppy he wouldn’t eat was very ill , we went to other vets they suggested I put him down . A friend told me about mr McNeil And he helped my dog with diet etc brought him back to full health . We lost him now he was 15.5 mr McNeil came to Our house on that sad day he was so kind and caring made it a little bit easier when he went to rainbow bridge . My collie is now getting treated for diabetes and mr McNeil explained everything in detail about jags etc . Would highly recommend him he definitely cares more for the animals than the money . A very friendly and efficient professional, who doesn't limit you to one ailment per visit like some vets in the Dunfermline area. He is clear and concise, explaining possible outcomes and worst case scenarios, without scaring you unnecessarily in the process. He is the most competitively priced by far. My dog had a check and diagnoses on two different ailments, an injection plus a course of antibiotics and a tube of eye gel for a grand total of 40!!! We took Misty our Westie aged 17 to Mr McNeil for a 2nd opinion after we took her to our usual vet who said nothing was wrong despite her struggling to breathe. All they were interested in was giving her an anaesthetic for a lump near her rear end, take in mind she struggled to breathe, this would have killed her! Mr McNeil listened to what we were telling him and immediately diagnosed her suffering from emphysemia. He gave her a steroid injection and tablets and to bring her back on Monday morning to give her the weekend to respond to his treatment. Unfortunately we lost her in the early hours on Monday morning (through no fault of Mr McNeil) and we truly believe that her final hours would have been so much worse! We cannot thank him enough for his help and we so wish we had taken her to him instead of our usual vet, so if you have a poorly pet then this is where you will find a vet who cares about them, this is rare to find, Mr & Mrs Elder. Always fair and honest advice, I've got 4 working dogs all looked after by Billy 's practice as far as injury and illness is concerned. His staff even remember me.
