As a young first time dog owner i was sceptical about where to take my fur baby for the best care. I chose The Veterinary Centre due to it being local and hearing good things. I was not disappointed. They answer all my crazy questions, give advice and make my pup feel at home when he’s their for check ups etc. I was worried about vet consultations being expensive but its affordable for even a young person like me. I cant thank the staff enough for everything they do. Its a stressful job but they always have a smile on their face. Highly recommend and i know my dog is in safe hands. Read Less

I think my unlucky dog has seen every vet in this practice in her one and a half years of life so far! And each and every vet has been truly amazing. Anne Shilliday in particular is my favourite, but I happily take my dog to anyone available. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside is a different story. It is bright, modern, immaculately clean and spacious, with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. They are constantly improving the place, which is a sign of a great practice. They recently got air conditioning which makes wrestling a strong dog in a consultation room less sweaty! It is lovely to watch it growing from strength to strength and the staff clearly love their jobs. I would work here in a heartbeat. Prices are honestly great. I had a brief dalliance with another practice who were horrendous and charged £38 per visit no matter what and overcharged when I was due discounts from their pet plan. I've had repeat visits at The Veterinary Centre for the same conditions with the consultation fee reduced or waived completely. The healthy pet plan is excellent value and discounts promised are applied automatically. A reliable, professional, trustworthy, friendly, hygienic and fair practice. I'll take my animals here for the rest of my life. Read Less

Lovely, friendly staff. Reasonable prices too. They do something called healthy pet plan which comes out direct debit and we get the flea and worming treatment delivered to us every 3 months. The vet and vet nurse were so very kind and considerate when my cat was very sick and had to be put to sleep. Everyone was very considerate and helpful at that very difficult time. Would not take my pets anywhere else. The place is immaculate and the staff obviously care very much for the animals and customers. Read Less

Anne Shilliday is marvellous. She is so considerate of my dogs who hate coming to the vet. I believe her SSPCA background will have something to do with it! The waiting area and consulting rooms are immaculate, the price of any treatment my dogs have received has never shocked me as has always been reasonable. The atmosphere, attitudes and knowledge of all staff gives me such reassurance. Even though it's rarely for a happy reason I'm taking my animals here, I still love walking in that door! Read Less
