Very professional vets and nurses. Great facilities, seems very clean and like the way there is a separate cat and dog consulting room/waiting area.

We have had a couple of bad experiences with other vet's practices over the years, so when the Charlton Kings Vet Centre opened I thought Id see what they were like and took our two senior cats there for their annual inoculations. The practice is clean and well presented and the nurse at reception was very friendly and helpful. During the check up the vet discovered that one of our cats - Bella - had an enlarged thyroid gland and advised blood tests to double check. The blood test confirmed the diagnosis and the vet fully explained the pros and cons of the choice of treatments available and the different cost implications. We decided that having the thyroid removed was the best course of action, and when I took her in for the operation the vet we saw was different, but he was very friendly and gentle with Bella, taking time to get to know her as she is a rather nervous cat. We have seen three different vets during the time we have been coming to this practice, and each have been very helpful and genuinely caring and patient. When it came to paying the bill the amount due was exactly as I was told to expect and I would have no hesitation in recommending this veterinary surgery. Read Less

Use Dragon vets & was told this new centre which is part of 'Dragon' had an exotics vet. I urgently needed my young snakes to see a vet. But they are a specialised area. I made an appointment straight away. The clinic is bright, clean & fresh! Receptionists are great! Genuinely friendly, helpful & really professional, if any were nervous of reptiles, like snakes.Even some vets are! lol You'd have never known it! The vet who deals with exotics is Jon Cranston, a really nice, friendly fella. Even had my snakes feeling at ease. Being the first trip in the car & having a stranger handling them, this was amazing. The appointment was not rushed, time was taken to discuss the problems, history of animals & all aspects that needed to be covered. We had to return the next day where the treatment was given...A jab which went totally un noticed by both serpants! : ) The charge for the treatment, medication & a long indepth consult was less than a third of what i'd expected to be paying. First consultation was free with a flyer, but second wasn't. The bill was still a fraction or what I'd prepared for! I was thoroughly impressed & couldn't have been happier with all aspects of this new veterinary centre & vet Jon Cranston. A very much needed & appreciated exotics vet in cheltenham, I'd have to travel many miles to find another. Reptiles don't do well if disrupted too much! The other vet Oliver Wilkinson I know from the Prestbury Park chelt' Race Course Surgery & is a smashing man & an excellent vet too! So happy to have an EXOTICS vet locally i've been promoting CK Vet Centre everywhere & to everyone! Couldn't RECOMMEND Highly enough! And wish them every success! Thank You Sincerely Tracy : ) No one calls me spacey anymore? HaHaa Read Less
