The Severnside Veterinary Group comprises of four friendly, family-run practices spread throughout the Forest of Dean.
We are a predominantly small practice dedicated to caring for all species of animal in the forest and surrounding areas.
The practice continues to develop and expand using modern equipment, the latest technologies and new procedures. As standards in veterinary medicine improve, we seek to meet the changing needs and expectations of our clients while maintaining our excellent level of service.
Come in and meet our friendly staff for yourself; all new pets are entitled to a free health check so they can get to know us.

Dennis dog was put to sleep this morning. He was 12, very poorly and lost his will to fight any longer. Thank you so much to Gavin and the team for your care and compassion. You made it easier for us to deal with the process and did everything you possibly could for him. He hated vet visits initially but when we changed to your practice he attended happily like he knew you’d look after him. Dennis was a unique character and you all seemed to get him ....thank you x

Thank you so much for all you have done for my cat. Putting him to sleep was not a nice decision to make however you all made it so simple I have collected his ashes today and I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff who work so hard with such compassion for both animals and their humans xx

So nice to have a vets that cares so much about cats, sometimes you get vets that are very obviously "dog people" and treat cats with disdain, but here they get lots of love and attention. I think Pab...
So nice to have a vets that cares so much about cats, sometimes you get vets that are very obviously "dog people" and treat cats with disdain, but here they get lots of love and attention. I think Pablo could have moved in this morning, he was getting so many cuddles! And they are very gentle and professional.

Have been with the practice for over 30 years. Would highly recommend them every time. Mark and the team look after your pets and you, and have a very sensitive understanding when things get tough. You can also get to consult with Edward if you want your pet treated homeopathically. All round great practice.

Wonderful to find a lovely kind Vet who does homeopothy which I find fascinating and essential for my dogs' health and well-being. To have a Vet who also supports raw feeding and complimentary therapies such as canine massage therapy is also excellent. One of my dogs doesn't like visiting Veterinary Practices and usually shakes but both of my dogs love Edward and the last time I was there my "fearful" dog got out of the car and was quite happy to enter the building. I never feel as though my consultation is rushed. It's a shame Edward is not at the practice more often but I am truly grateful he is at least there once a week.

I have been with this practice since the 80's when I first moved here. Have always had good service. Mark has done a few repairs of broken bones on my Papillons and would recommend him to anyone. ...
I have been with this practice since the 80's when I first moved here. Have always had good service. Mark has done a few repairs of broken bones on my Papillons and would recommend him to anyone. His staff our helpful and friendly.

We have been with Severnside for a good 7 years now and they still prove to me every visit that they are the best place to be. 6 dogs and 2 cats, all treated with the best of care and patience. Not on...
We have been with Severnside for a good 7 years now and they still prove to me every visit that they are the best place to be. 6 dogs and 2 cats, all treated with the best of care and patience. Not only that they listen to us when we know something is not quite right...when many would tell us not too worry and send us away. Today, a Sunday morning and I had to rush one of the dogs in for emergency surgery. Within 2hrs he was seen, treated and back home. Reasonable prices despite what other reviews may say. You get what you put in people and if u treat them with the respect they deserve they will do the same.

I don't know where you went wrong... you clearly loved animals at some point to have taken up this profession, but demanding 500 upfront before visiting a injured foal (probably due to the vet having to delay eating the rotting flesh of a dead turkey). At what point did profit come before compassion? Clearly you're the Donald Trump of vets. Won't ever use you again.

Please reply to my private messages and email regarding how a vet from this practice demanded a greedy 500 up front to come out to a dying and trapped foal on Christmas day. Luckily a rescue and another vet attended. The extra waiting didn't help the horse at all though and he isn't doing great. Shame on you.

Dennis dog was put to sleep this morning. He was 12, very poorly and lost his will to fight any longer. Thank you so much to Gavin and the team for your care and compassion. So nice to have a vets that cares so much about cats, sometimes you get vets that are very obviously "dog people" and treat cats with disdain, but here they get lots of love and attention. You can also get to consult with Edward if you want your pet treated homeopathically. All round great practice.
