Would not Trust this practice with a hamster. Bridge Veterinary provided out of hours care for my own vet in Faringdon. One Sunday night my male. Akita showed all the symptoms of GVD (bloat/twisted stomach). Anyone who knows dogs will know that this is the most serious condition in dogs and requires immediate treatment. My dogs stomach had swollen massively and he was shown great signs of discomfort & pain. The vet was adament that he was not suffering from bloat. He give him an injection to easily the pain and said if he is the same in the morning take him back to my own vet. First thing in the morning we took him to Faringdon vets where he took one look at him and took him straight through for emergency surgery. Unfortunately it was too late and by the time he was lifted on the the operating table his heart failed. At the time I knew very little about GVD but as I read in to it it became apparent that it is common and life threatening to all large breed male dogs and easy to diagnose. It is a disgrace that an experienced vet just brushed it off lightly when it was so obvious. He is a disgrace and should be struck off. I am very angry with myself that I ever accepted his advice and took him home that night. To the Vet, I am very sorry I troubled you that Sunday night and called you out in our time of distress but at least you were well paid!!!Read Less
