My cat went to this vet for. 12 years to maintain continuity but had I known what I know now I would never ever have sent my cat there. For routine treatments one may think this vet is good but when it comes to critical care where time, accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment is a matter of life and death this vet may be fatal to your pet. My cat was seen by this vet for loss of appetite, not having eaten for three days. My cat was seen by one of the owners of this practice who appeared so jaded and lacking rapport with my cat I initially thought he was a locum. This vet prescribed my cat appetite stimulant. The vet even applied this medication to my cat before we left the surgery. The next morning my cat sicked up brown fluid and within 1 hour he had died. Avoid this vet and you and your pet may be spared the appallingly bad and inappropriate treatment my pet experienced and the painful and distressing death he suffered as a result of the true cause of inability to eat being misdiagnosed

We joined here after a disappointing experience with a previous vets and were so happy as Max was fantastic. I felt how genuine he was right from the start and trusted the love he had for the animal rather than it being about the money which I had previously experienced. We had to move vets as we moved a little further out but soon decided to move back even though it's a little further because Max is the only person I trust and that really is hard to find.
Best vets around and worth any distance to know your animals are in the best hands.
Thank you to the whole team at Sherwood's. Always polite and professional.

We joined sherwood vets this January 2019 and saw the vet max king. He is a lovely caring man who had a lovely way with our jack Russell Holly. The reception staff and nurses were really helpful and I’m so glad we’ve moved to an independent vet as our other one always appeared to be money orientated.

We rushed to Sherwood vets in sunbury with our little dog that was choking and couldn’t breathe.
We’ve moved and they were the closest vets to us, even though we are not registered there they swung into action took her from me and rushed her into the treatment room,I was hysterical after giving her mouth to mouth the whole way and trying to keep her alive, we were treated with such kindness and I cannot express my gratitude enough as they saved my little girl.
I’d give sherwood’s 10/10 on all counts, they are what a veterinary surgery should be.

I have been using the Hampton practise for several years, always satisfied that they have excelled themselves in doing the best for my dogs, this year begining in April 2018 they rose the standard yet again, my Spaniel Skye was pregnant they treated her with care & love it was if they were treating their own dog, after whelping Skye found it difficult to recover from the trauma of pregnancy, birth & caring for 9 puppies, David was amazing he used all his experience to reach the cause of the issue.....Thank you. Going the extra mile Rachel 5* service, one of Skye puppy's developed a Urinary tract tnfection at 8 weeks old, Rachel contacted me direct giving an update on her recovery, and she delivered her home after her treatment as my car was in the garage. I have singled out both David & Rachel but I cannot praise the entire staff working for Sherwood's enough, they are Professional, caring & understanding to us as worried owners . I would without doubt recommend Sherwood Vets to anyone - Well Done & Thank you

I would like to thank Max for saving my 6 month old puppy’s life! We took Scout in for a skin rash only for Max to pick up that she had a congenital heart defect! So this was picked up by chance and it was because he chose to do a thorough examination and not rush the appointment. Sophie, another lovely vet, immediately confirmed this and scanned Scout’s heart the next day. We got a very quick referral to Queen Mother Hospital. Scout had her procedure done today and her future looks bright. If it wasn’t for Max, doing a thorough examination, the condition would have worsened leading to congestive heart failure, and death, most probably in months. Scout’s next 24 hours are critical but the team at QMH say that this was one of their most straight forward cases- one of the easiest they have dealt with. Thank you Max for noticing this! Thank you Sophie too! Such a caring team. You never rush us and put animals first. 🐶

We have used Sherwoods for 11 years and they have always given us good service. Last Friday week we tested them for the first time properly with an emergency visit with our cat who had a gaping wound....
We have used Sherwoods for 11 years and they have always given us good service. Last Friday week we tested them for the first time properly with an emergency visit with our cat who had a gaping wound. They stayed open for us to bring him in, operated to give him stitches straight away and then brought him back to Hampton for us the next day. We couldn't be more pleased with their response or his recovery. Thank you once again.

Have been using Sherwoods for 26 years and they have helped me and my dogs through all stages of their lives with kindness, dignity and compassion and most importantly excellent care. I know many local people who feel the same and wont consider using any other vet for their pets. I am moving out of the area to Devon and so will sadly miss having Max and the team to look after my dogs in future. I wish them all the best and much success with their business.

We have had all our pets in the care of the team at Sherwood Vets over the last 17 years. The level of care, patience and experience is outstanding. On a very personal level they have seen our beloved cats through simple check ups, to minor injuries, and sadly beyond - every time putting the safety and well being of the patient first, and giving us thoughtful, professional advice and support throughout. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

At the other vets they talked about chemo tablets etc etc where as Max was focused on completing the right tests to provide a diagnosis and thankfully it isn't cancer. I didn't even hesitate about transferring my pets care across to Sherwood and have been much more confident about my pets care

We joined here after a disappointing experience with a previous vets and were so happy as Max was fantastic. I felt how genuine he was right from the start and trusted the love he had for the animal rather than it being about the money which I had previously experienced. We had to move vets as we moved a little further out but soon decided to move back even though it's a little further because Max is the only person I trust and that really is hard to find.

We’ve moved and they were the closest vets to us, even though we are not registered there they swung into action took her from me and rushed her into the treatment room,I was hysterical after giving her mouth to mouth the whole way and trying to keep her alive, we were treated with such kindness and I cannot express my gratitude enough as they saved my little girl.

I would like to thank Max for saving my 6 month old puppy’s life! We took Scout in for a skin rash only for Max to pick up that she had a congenital heart defect! So this was picked up by chance and it was because he chose to do a thorough examination and not rush the appointment. Last Friday week we tested them for the first time properly with an emergency visit with our cat who had a gaping wound. They stayed open for us to bring him in, operated to give him stitches straight away and then brought him back to Hampton for us the next day.
