They took the time to explain all the possibilities and treatment options and answered all our questions. We had always seen Alistair over the past twelve years and now he has retired we were nervous about seeing another vet. He clipped her other long claws and spent some time to explain the wife's tales about dew claws bleeding out. Then didnt charge me a penny. So many vets would of charged consultation. I was shocked. I'm sad to say but it seems this that is only interested in money not the animals , My cat has an ongoing condition and needs medication, medication from this vet is 25 a bottle, I can get the same medication online for 7 pounds so I asked for a prescription they charge you 20 for prescription scription and refused to give me any more than three months however I found out By law they have to give you six months prescription and they shouldn't be charging 20 . My little cat had to go without as I could not afford the massive markup they add on, they would rather pets go without then selling the medication at a reasonable price. Seems to me it's all about the profit not about the animals welfare . Read Less

A wonderful Veterinary Hospital where I have always taken my pets. However, last Monday, 24th March, I took my darling Westie, Sadie, to see Scott Cheyney. I knew it was time for Sadie to go to Doggy Heaven and Scott and Katie, one of the amazing nurses helped me with the pain of losing my wonderful girl. Sadie was fourteen and five months (thanks to Scott) as Sadie has suffered with so many things and he was able to give her quite a lot of extra time. Thank you all at Palmerston Veterinary Hospital. I have been taking my two dogs to here for nearly three years and have found they have the highest level of experience and excellent level of care. I know my pets are in very safe hands when I take them here. The vets are extremely knowledgeable of both traditional veterinary remedies and open to trying different more natural remedies too. Having moved from the immediate area I now travel nearly 10 miles to still take my dogs here as I wholeheartedly trust that they get the BEST care here. Read Less

I'm sad to say but it seems this that is only interested in money not the animals , My cat has an ongoing condition and needs medication, medication from this vet is 25 a bottle, I can get the same medication online for 7 pounds so I asked for a prescription they charge you 20 for prescription scription and refused to give me any more than three months however I found out By law they have to give you six months prescription and they shouldn't be charging 20 . A wonderful Veterinary Hospital where I have always taken my pets. However, last Monday, 24th March, I took my darling Westie, Sadie, to see Scott Cheyney. I knew it was time for Sadie to go to Doggy Heaven and Scott and Katie, one of the amazing nurses helped me with the pain of losing my wonderful girl. Sadie was fourteen and five months (thanks to Scott) as Sadie has suffered with so many things and he was able to give her quite a lot of extra time. Thank you all at Palmerston Veterinary Hospital. I have been taking my two dogs to here for nearly three years and have found they have the highest level of experience and excellent level of care. I know my pets are in very safe hands when I take them here. The vets are extremely knowledgeable of both traditional veterinary remedies and open to trying different more natural remedies too. Having moved from the immediate area I now travel nearly 10 miles to still take my dogs here as I wholeheartedly trust that they get the BEST care here. Read Less
