AVOID THIS VET! I visited this practice in April 2018 with my cat who had a sore on her back. They told me it was just an infection and treated her with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. Last Sunday, a couple of days after seeing them, I took my cat to another vets as she had stopped eating and didn't seem to be improving. As soon as the vet saw the sore they immediately said that the sore looked like cancerous tumour. Unfortunately my cat had to be put down that day. I don't believe that anything else could have been done if my cat diagnosed correctly, however it certainly would have caused less suffering and pain for her. I am very concerned about the level of care they gave - I do not believe they fully inspected the wound - I was in and out of the practice very quickly. The growth was large, swollen and most importantly hard - which are key signs of a tumour. When I was approaching the practice, a woman stopped me in the street and warned me about the practice saying that her cat has been mis-sexed and another pet which has been misdiagnosed. I wish I had listened to her and went elsewhere. Read Less

Excellent - we found Dr Robson after having experienced a fancy London clinic with unnecessary extras (don't think my cat cares), well-maintained facebook pages and opaque pricing. After our last visit (and quite some money spent on unnecessary services that kept being recommended) we had had it and started to look for a no-frills, down-to-earth, knowledgeable vet. We found her in Dr Robson - straightforward, knowledgeable and transparent pricing. We liked her demeanor (confident, professional) and our kitten was up and running almost on the spot after having been neutered. My husband's family had two female cats who - after having gone through the same procedure - withdrew for days. Ours was up and running almost immediately (to the point that we were joking whether the procedure had actually been done ;)). No doubt that Dr Robson is an excellent surgeon! Read Less

I don€t usually write negative comments about services but ,on reflection, feel I need to highlight poor management, in my opinion, of my in laws little Yorkshire terrier, who died suddenly 24th September aged 2 years and 9/12. I note from reviews that most people have been happy with this vetinary surgery and am glad that you have not had the same experience as my in laws have had but can only assume that your pets have been healthy. 6 weeks prior passing away this happy friendly little Yorkie started to have cystitis and was passing heavily blood stained urine. She had multiple visits to the vet and was given a couple of injections and we were told that it was just an irritation of the lining of her bladder-no blood tests or scan at this stage just antibiotics and an anti -inflammatory injection. This dear little dog never complained and remained stoic, as dogs do. As time went on she got worse and eventually appeared in pain, hiding under the bed to avoid being handled. This was most unusual for her as she liked to be centre of attention. Finally the vet took her in, for the day, on the Tuesday for tests/scan but still no blood tests- Although paid for we never saw the report but just told there was nothing usual and to wait until the following Wednesday for the latest urine test result. From the time of her scan she went downhill rapidly and on the Saturday my father in-law took her back to the vet as he was so worried about her and told us that he thought she was dying. She saw the Vet at 1200hrs and again was told that he had to wait until the results of the urine test and that there was nothing untoward. At 1600hrs this little sweetie had a major fit and then died in my father in-laws arms. My in-laws are elderly and feel that they no longer useful ,but to be able to love and care for a pet gave their life meaning-I feared that they would both die of heartbreak during that first week after. We rang the vet and a few days later got a condolence card. We did try to get a seconds opinion from another vetinary practice locally but my father in law has used this vet for many years and remained loyal however he had lost a dog three years prior who, although nearing 13 years, had been healthy until a short illness, were told that she was just fat (similar to the review written 4 years ago) but in fact she had cancer and died in terrible pain. Sadly he did not have pet insurance for either pet. What would we do differently? Make sure of having pet insurance and if any worries get a second opinion. Read Less
