We took our puppy to this vet back in October for his vaccinations, when he was just 8 weeks old and we had had him for a few days. He scared the life out of us, telling us our puppy will have mental health problems when he is older because he was so terrified, as if it was somehow our fault. He then totally roughhoused him and our pup shrieked in a way he has never done before or since. Far too rough with such a small puppy. We switched vets and he has been absolutely fine, no 'mental health' issues at all. Read Less

Greg is a fantastic vet. Yesterday was a very hard day as our 17 year old much loved dog died in the morning. Greg’ professionalism and kindness at this sad time made the whole difficult experience much easier and I am so grateful to him and the veterinary nurse who also came to the house. Throughout our dog’s long life Greg has provided expert advice and treatment when occasionally needed. He has such wide experience and expertise you always trust his judgement and the animal’s well being is always his primary concern. I would highly recommend Greg to anyone who needs the services of an outstanding professional. Read Less

I have just visited this vet for the very first time as my cat was found dead in someones garden. I phoned the vet up and a sweet sounded woman answered and was very kind to me over the phone. When we arrived with our deceased cat the vet called us in straight away thoroughly check our cat Cindy over and gave us a reason as to why she died. When given the option whether or not to keep the ashes he told us it costs a lot, he didn't seem like a money grabber at all. When we got home the phone rang he said our card was declined and dealt with the situation in a professional manner even apologizing to us when we had to wait for him to put the details into his computer! Our card was then accepted, so just make sure before you leave that the payment goes through, as it may have been their machine that is faulty as we had money in the bank. I will be taking my other animals there as I do own a lot. They are also open on Sunday and have emergence openings which is extremely useful if you own dogs/cats, there's nothing worse than a tragedy happening and having to find a vet that's open, but knowing they deal with emergencies puts my mind at rest. I would give more stars if I could. Thank you Burnt Ash Vet for your brilliant service today. Read Less

We have been to this vet on two separate occasions. The first time I left unhappy but gave the benefit of the doubt and tried again but unfortunately nothing changed. He is very costly and on both occasions didn't really examine my puppy and just ASSUMED and said it's best for sedation and X-ray. I don't like to say it but the way the vet came across it seemed to just be about the money. He was not caring didn't really seem interested in animals at all. After our first experience there my dog had to be sedated and when we brought him home his nails had been hacked away leaving them sore and cracked.. we had read reviews that this had happened to other people but we didn't think it would to us. Still we aren't entirely sure what was wrong with him as he is so vague! Second time my dog had issues with his rear end.. without even looking he suggested sedation again and assumed it was something it wasn't .. after second opinion confirmed . This is very upsetting as he is only a puppy so I'd prefer it be looked at before he needed to use sedation. We decided we wanted a second opinion so took him elsewhere they told us straight away what was wrong and he was all better in 3 days! Really wouldn't recommend Read Less

Very disappointed!!! This vet offered wrong tests; didnt treat the pet at all let us go home while pet was in terrible condition and couldnt move at all. We paid 400 for tests, waited for results 2 days had to chase myself! Finally received wrong diagnosis and been offered biopsy (another 900 pounds). No reasonable explanation was ever provided why first tests were done; why the biopsy is required and what it would show. His answer to all our question was ''I dont know; we do the test we will see''. When I took my pet home after first tests I found her nails cut to the point where she couldnt even walk because of pain, constantly licked her paws, even teeth sharp ends cut off! What the hell that means!!! Took to another vet immediately, paid another 250 for right tests, found a problem no biopsy was needed; the new vet said the operation even could kill my pet as she was so week after such a delay this vet caused!!! Everything was explained in great details; care plan written down and properly explained. So left my lovely pet with new vet overnight where she got a proper treatment and cried my eyes out when picked her up the next morning; all looking healthy and even jumping! All over one night of care!!! Cant describe how disappointed I am with Burnt Ash vet; he doesnt even look like he is interested to do the job real money maker! He made my pet to suffer and wanted to cause even more pain!!!Read Less

I took my rabbit there after he had been in a fight with the other rabbit that he shared a cage with, the vet insisted on giving him expensive steroid injections and he was dead an hour after I took him home. I would not recommend this vet to anyone, it's the closest to my house but for a consultation at 35 for a small animal and a rude and unfriendly vet I'd rather go somewhere else. Read Less
