This place has gone badly downhill since Anna left. Poor continuity of care. Bodged consultation with a locum led to my dog experiencing unnecessary pain and risk. We have now moved to another practice outside of the Goddard group. It’s a real shame as they used to be good. The regional manager and new head vet are aware of our complaint although still saw fit to charge me for the pleasure of putting their (many) mistakes right. Read Less

I went in to this vet to get a flea treatment for my cat, and was sold Advantage for £8. However, this treatment is supposed to contain four tubes, which should be applied once a month, if I remember correctly. Instead, I was given one tube, removed from the carton and torn from the others, for full price. This is not only unethical because I was sold a quarter of the treatment for full price, but it says clearly on the packaging of my one Tube that it should be kept in the outer carton with the full instructions and warnings. I called to enquire, expecting this was an honest mistake, and was rudely dismissed. I will never return there again. Read Less

We've been with this vet for several years. All has been well. Our pets have only ever needed annual checkups, but we've found the staff friendly and helpful.

Pretty helpful but also pricey... £80 for appointment and some cream treatment. Suppose all vets are pricey though. Friendly to the pup despite initial barking, felt like they genuinally cared about the pup and not just going though the motions with no feeling. Glad to have got a same day appoinment too, I'll use them again if I need a vet pronto. Read Less

When our cat was recently unwell he had an emergency appointment and admission to Stone Lion hospital in Wimbledon and cannot fault their care and service. We arrived out of hours and were seen immediately. We were constantly kept informed of his progress by the vet, including a daily text to update on how he'd been overnight. The speed of investigations and treatment, and the openness of clinical discussions and options should be the envy of the NHS. Louise (the resident vet) was fantastic throughout and after his admission. He was promptly referred to the RVC for specialist care. His ongoing treatment, provided by Goddard's (Kennington), has continued the highest standard of care and service - they have always accommodated him for an emergency review when again he became unwell, and they kept us informed of his results and progress along the way. We always felt part of the decision making process. Anna (lead vet in Kennington) is fantastic - truly caring and compassionate, and reassuring as a 'patient' to be in the hands of. The nurses at both centres are great - knowledgeable, caring and accommodating. We are very happy to have Goddard's as our local vets and to recommend it to others. Read Less

Goddards have always been a brilliant support to me and my cat. She was diagnosed with a heart condition shortly after I rescued her, and Roger Irish and the staff were kind, helpful as well as incredibly professional. My cat is also a total monster at the vet, and they have been extremely kind in not banning her. I've been a happy customer for three years, and were I not moving, I would stay for many more. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Everyone from the receptionist onwards is cheerful, highly capable and a pleasure to speak to. Read Less

I brought my cat in with a very swollen leg only to be told, on two separate occasions, that she was healthy and there was nothing to do. I was even specifically told that she was not in pain. On returning a second time the vet said they'd get back to me the next day to discuss possible treatment and payment and I was never contacted. A year later we went to nearby Vets4Pets who were very helpful and proactive, unlike the people at Goddard Veterinary practice in Kennington, they conducted x-rays and tests the same day we brought her in and told us that she was in severe pain and gave us a detailed description of both diagnosis and prognosis, providing us with medication for her the same day. By that time, we were informed it was ultimately too late to treat her effectively and the only long term solution to resolve her pain was euthanasia. Despite the unfortunate outcome, I received competent and compassionate care from Vets4Pets - the exact opposite of the vague and lax 'advice' I got from Goddard. I am appalled with the way my family, including the my cat, were treated. Disgusting. Read Less
