Exellent and thorough care, I must thank Dr Grant Petrie and all the Staff there for having looked after several complicated issues my epileptic Golden Retriever developed over the course of few months; from bloating /pneumonia/lungworm/ stomach surgery / allergies. The costs of treatments were always included in the options we were offered; tthe animal's wellbeing and safety was always a priority in the choice of treatment - in particular anesthesies, medical treatments, procedures. I have been with the practice for several years now with my two dogs and I am planning to stay. Read Less

My dear cat, Minxy, had to be put to sleep due to an illness she developed recently. I have taken her to this practice for all 13 years of her life and have always found the staff friendly and accommodating. They even gave me a follow up call to see how I was coping a couple of days after the event which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend the London Vet Clinic and, should if I choose to own another pet at some point, I will definitely be going back there. Read Less

All receptionist and nurses are extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. In my experience Doctors are very knowledgeable and honest they will answer all your questions and explain everything in detail till you understand. Observe and examine your dog. My dog unfortunately had a tumor removal. They looked after him well with care and love. Dr. Ciara was very understanding towards our worries and saved our dog. Cannot thank them enough for this. i have been meaning to write a review about Mr Fogle for sometime but have had better things to do. Walking past his practice today reminded me that I must share my experiences with you. Experience 1 Fogle advised me change my dog food to the brand (Science Plan) he sold in his shop because my dog had an upset stomach. He actually diagnosed her with colitis. Her condition didn't improve and I had to return on several occasions for medication. Finally I decided to change her food to another brand (Lilies Kitchen) low and behold I never had another problem. Unfortunately my dog had now been suffering unnecessarily for years due to his misdiagnosis and bad advice. Experience 2 My dog is very fury and whilst we were at the clinic for a health check if I remember asking if my dog could have a tidy and trim between her back legs. I was actually in the room during this procedure but could not see exactly what was happening due to the position my dog was in. Suddenly my dog let our a very distressing loud bark/scream. I asked if everything was okay and they reassured me it was. To be honest I wasn't sure of this as the noise from my dog was definitely an indication of severe pain but you trust these people, right? As soon as we left my dog started scooting her bum along the pavement at first I thought it was perhaps just irritated a little where she had been trimmed. She continued to do this, when we got to the park she tried to do a wee she let out a another distressing bark/scream, you could see on her face that she was in pain and didn't know what to do with herself. When I got home I examined her to find that they had cut off a layer of skin right on the tip of her daisy, it was red raw. I contacted the clinic straight away and they told me it was shaving rash! I sent them images of shaving rash examples on a dog which was obviously nothing like the injury they had caused. Now I'm a fair man and realise that accidents do happen but what they did by trying to cover it up is unforgivable. The staff were all in cahoots with Fogle in a desperate attempt to cover up what had happened. My dog was uncomfortable for over a week and crying when she had to dog wee. Fogle finally conceded after me having to force the issue and offered me a packet of treats as compensation. Experience 3 I woke up one morning to find my dog looking poorly and staying in her basket so I took her straight to the clinic where she was examined by Fogle. He basically diagnosed her as possibly having anything thing from a broken spine to organ failure and said she would need to stay in over night for tests. I was worried sick and spent the whole day not knowing what to do with myself. Then I got a late afternoon phone call from the clinic saying I could come and pick her up. When I got there I was told it was nothing that Fogle had said in fact it was trapped wind! Fogle wanted to charge me £400.00 to tell me this. I actually checked this issue online and it's not an uncommon problem, one of which Fogle would have come across before. Instead he saw this as an opportunity to take as much money from me as possible. For me this was the final straw I didn't pay him and he never challenged me which tells it's own story. To make matters even worse when I tried to move to another vet Fogle had written on my notes that I tried to avoid paying him and the vet would not take me on his books for that reason. Thankfully I have found another vet who so far has been great. If you like being lead up the garden path, being lied to, having your pet misdiagnosed at every opportunity and have money to burn. Fogle fits the bill perfectly. Read Less

I have used the London Vet Clinic for more than seven years with three dogs: a pug, shar pei and now a standard poodle. The care is considered, reasonable price wise and the staff are friendly. My pug was a doddle, just an old boy who lived until he was 19 on a pedigree chum diet, his favourite food. The shar-pei was very tricky and only Bruce could handle the anxiety the dog demonstrated which is part of the breeds behaviour. The poodle is a silly billy but has had considerable digestive problems, throwing up and loose stool which have been sorted with a prescribed sensitive food, organised by the nurses. Without that he would still be losing weight and very thin. He is a Battersea rescue who was 22 kilos but is now, in a few months, is up to 25 kilos and bursting with energy. Read Less
