The owners had the audacity to tell me that they’re dog was only 2 years old... my gsd pup is 11 wks 4 days old. they’re Vicious dog should have been muzzled. If any future emergencies
I would never go there again, The place is really cramped with no suitable parking.

My wife called this vet around 5 am this morning as my dog was having a seizure. My dog has never had a seizure before and it was a terrifying event for all of us. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and stayed on the phone with us until he was stable. Although we have a regular vet that we will take him to for routine blood-work, etc., if something like this happens again, I would be very comfortable using Medivet in another emergency situation.

Had to take my dog in at 2.30am after a seizure. They were great on the phone an amazing in person. They gave great advice and made me and my dog feel at ease. They followed up and sent everything across to my main vet in Brentford so when I was speaking to them, they already knew what had happened the night before. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience in Dalston, however, now that I've moved to Chiswick I was looking for the nearest Medivet. The one in Richmond didn't disappoint as I've encountered the same level of professionalism and more importantly staff member who really seem to love animals and their friendliness makes us feel really welcomed and at easy (when our dogs are not in their best behaviour). Came in last night with my dog Cookie and they were just amazing. Thank you.

We often experienced bad communication using this corporate run vet group which utilises multiple vets. Our experience with Southfields and Richmond caused an especially negative impact on the treatment / management of our CKD cat and in his last days cost us 24 hrs in getting him connected to an emergency drip before passing away 5 days later. The delay in treatment was due to me being abroad & Medivet overlooking this fact that was conveyed to both the vet and the reception staff. When we asked Elizabeth the vet as to why my husband wasn't contacted in my absence she said she only calls the first tel. no. on the list. After our cat was discharged on day 4, that evening we phoned Richmond and asked to speak to the vet as we were concerned with our cats behaviour (eating soil in the heavy rain and twitchy). The receptionist/nurse refused to put us through and abruptly told us that the cats behaviour was unrelated to his CKD and there was nothing they could do. On previous occasions they left the catheter in our cats leg & the Southfields manager had to call by our house to remove it. Another time an inexperienced vet delayed seeing our cat & pushed us to the end appointment only for us to then collect our cat leaving him with a bloody neck. The cherry on top was when they tried to charge an extra 100 for the euthanasia.

Beside being open 24 hours I would honestly think twice before using these guys. They will say anything to keep your pet in longer and do more test and what I can only term as experiments. They only accept certain insurance companies so if your insurance companies not on their approved list you pay and then claim it back from your insurance company. No big deal but I can only imagine the ordeal my dog went through with these guys. I took my dog trusting these guys but within 2 days I realised they just kept suggested further assessments and and operations but could not tell me what the problem was. I eventually declined and demanded a second opinion so went and collected her, paid their balance in full and a miracle occurred suddenly she was fine before they bought her out to me.
If your like me your dogs is more than just a pet and you will spend however much you need to ensure they are well, but from this experience I realised some people will do anything for money. Very sad from this experience and don't want to even give 1 star rating but hey it the system.

Terrible service when it comes to insurance claims. Took 900 off me to start out of hours treatment on my dogs but said as soon as insurance confirmed they would pay me the difference between my excess and the 900 back on the next working day. That didn't happen, they then changed their story to be that I would get money back when the insurance company paid then. The insurance company sent them a cheque two weeks ago, they still haven't paid me and said they wont be paying me for another 3 days. Everyone you speak to gives you a different story, and they just don't want to give me my money back for some reason. If you have to use them and are claiming insurance, expect to pay out yourself and not see your money back for a long time.

I have been with medivet risedale for in excess of 10 years. I cannot rate them high enough for being friendly or caring. Their extremely helpful and they go that extra mile on many occasions. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and sadly I had to say goodbye to her in 2015. To her the vets was her second home and she loved going there. The whole process of saying goodbye was extremely hard but to their credit all the staff were brilliant in what was a very sad day and I know that they care so passionately about all the animals that cross their threshold. I now have another dog who I rescued and was nervous but after a couple of visits she now loves going there too. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful team looking after my babies because that's exactly what they are and I am never worried about leaving them there because I know they will always look after them as if they were their own. So Risedale. Kyumi Nicola Steph Sarah Rachael you are all awesome and do a brilliant job. I know you will always keep up the good work. Thankyou.

Three cats, aging from 16 to 3. One has an impressive pedigree, two are girls, two are grey, two are laid-back, two love Dreamies, one needs regular claw-clipping, one is over 6kg, one has Colitis, one has had a Thyroidectomy, one has been spayed... twice (before we owned her). They all have one thing in common; they get amazing care and attention from MediVet-Ark Aid, Poole. The staff are wonderful, warm, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and make one feel that one is the only client that matters. They truly go above and beyond to look after our beloved animals. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to another pet owner.

My dog Molly had treatment in the Carpenders park branch for a lump on her eye, she had it removed all seemed good regarding payment from the insurance then I was asked for 54.74 extra, why I asked when I was covered and had paid my excess of 80, it seemed they went for a very expensive HISTOLOGY test rather than the 62.98, rather than asking me if this was alright they tried to get it of my insurers, and they said they will not cover it, as it was unnecessary. I then had a nasty letter from Medivet saying this can't continue, and payment had to be made !!!!!!!! , I had never received a letter from then about any money, so I rang the branch at Carpenders Park and asked what was going on, the receptionist took the message and said she will look into it, nothing happened, so a week later went it there and asked what was happening, she took a message and said she will get back to me, again nothing, then Anna was on holiday so another message was left, why should I pay extra money for something that was NOT neccary and no one at this branch knew why it was charged, was unhappy and think I will be taking my 2 dogs elsewhere for treatment as I feel the trust has gone which is a shame as I have been going there for 6 years Not happy at all, I know you have to make money but really

I'm surprised to see some negative reviews here as I've used this practice extensively and find them to be pleasant and helpful, very conscientious and highly skilled. They saved my cat's life after he was hit by a car, and then performed a complex operation to save one of his back legs. The after-care was time consuming for us all but they were great throughout.
It's true that they are not cheap but, as someone else says, they provide an emergency 24/7 service (without which my cat would be dead), and anyway whoever found a cheap vet?

My kitten has an ear infection and I couldn't get an appointment with my Vet soon enough so I thoght I'd give this place a try as they are open 24hrs. The receptionist was very unpleasant. I watited there for about 25 minute or so before one the the nurses came out to explain that they were running late because they had 2 emergencies. We finally saw the Vet about 15-20 mins later. I was very surpised that the Vet has immediately suggested to admit the kitten to sedate her and drain the debris althought she did give a second option which I took to give the kitten an antibiotic and drops. The bill was almost 90 pound which my partner thought it was expensive. I wouldn't mind paying more if the patice was clean and staff was caring. I would not use their service again.

The owners had the audacity to tell me that they’re dog was only 2 years old... my gsd pup is 11 wks 4 days old. they’re Vicious dog should have been muzzled. If any future emergencies
I would never go there again, The place is really cramped with no suitable parking.

My wife called this vet around 5 am this morning as my dog was having a seizure. My dog has never had a seizure before and it was a terrifying event for all of us. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and stayed on the phone with us until he was stable. Although we have a regular vet that we will take him to for routine blood-work, etc., if something like this happens again, I would be very comfortable using Medivet in another emergency situation.

Had to take my dog in at 2.30am after a seizure. They were great on the phone an amazing in person. They gave great advice and made me and my dog feel at ease. They followed up and sent everything across to my main vet in Brentford so when I was speaking to them, they already knew what had happened the night before. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience in Dalston, however, now that I've moved to Chiswick I was looking for the nearest Medivet. The one in Richmond didn't disappoint as I've encountered the same level of professionalism and more importantly staff member who really seem to love animals and their friendliness makes us feel really welcomed and at easy (when our dogs are not in their best behaviour). Came in last night with my dog Cookie and they were just amazing. Thank you.

We often experienced bad communication using this corporate run vet group which utilises multiple vets. Our experience with Southfields and Richmond caused an especially negative impact on the treatment / management of our CKD cat and in his last days cost us 24 hrs in getting him connected to an emergency drip before passing away 5 days later. The delay in treatment was due to me being abroad & Medivet overlooking this fact that was conveyed to both the vet and the reception staff. When we asked Elizabeth the vet as to why my husband wasn't contacted in my absence she said she only calls the first tel. no. on the list. After our cat was discharged on day 4, that evening we phoned Richmond and asked to speak to the vet as we were concerned with our cats behaviour (eating soil in the heavy rain and twitchy). The receptionist/nurse refused to put us through and abruptly told us that the cats behaviour was unrelated to his CKD and there was nothing they could do. On previous occasions they left the catheter in our cats leg & the Southfields manager had to call by our house to remove it. Another time an inexperienced vet delayed seeing our cat & pushed us to the end appointment only for us to then collect our cat leaving him with a bloody neck. The cherry on top was when they tried to charge an extra 100 for the euthanasia.

Beside being open 24 hours I would honestly think twice before using these guys. They will say anything to keep your pet in longer and do more test and what I can only term as experiments. They only accept certain insurance companies so if your insurance companies not on their approved list you pay and then claim it back from your insurance company. No big deal but I can only imagine the ordeal my dog went through with these guys. I took my dog trusting these guys but within 2 days I realised they just kept suggested further assessments and and operations but could not tell me what the problem was. I eventually declined and demanded a second opinion so went and collected her, paid their balance in full and a miracle occurred suddenly she was fine before they bought her out to me.
If your like me your dogs is more than just a pet and you will spend however much you need to ensure they are well, but from this experience I realised some people will do anything for money. Very sad from this experience and don't want to even give 1 star rating but hey it the system.

Terrible service when it comes to insurance claims. Took 900 off me to start out of hours treatment on my dogs but said as soon as insurance confirmed they would pay me the difference between my excess and the 900 back on the next working day. That didn't happen, they then changed their story to be that I would get money back when the insurance company paid then. The insurance company sent them a cheque two weeks ago, they still haven't paid me and said they wont be paying me for another 3 days. Everyone you speak to gives you a different story, and they just don't want to give me my money back for some reason. If you have to use them and are claiming insurance, expect to pay out yourself and not see your money back for a long time.

I have been with medivet risedale for in excess of 10 years. I cannot rate them high enough for being friendly or caring. Their extremely helpful and they go that extra mile on many occasions. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and sadly I had to say goodbye to her in 2015. To her the vets was her second home and she loved going there. The whole process of saying goodbye was extremely hard but to their credit all the staff were brilliant in what was a very sad day and I know that they care so passionately about all the animals that cross their threshold. I now have another dog who I rescued and was nervous but after a couple of visits she now loves going there too. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful team looking after my babies because that's exactly what they are and I am never worried about leaving them there because I know they will always look after them as if they were their own. So Risedale. Kyumi Nicola Steph Sarah Rachael you are all awesome and do a brilliant job. I know you will always keep up the good work. Thankyou.

One has an impressive pedigree, two are girls, two are grey, two are laid-back, two love Dreamies, one needs regular claw-clipping, one is over 6kg, one has Colitis, one has had a Thyroidectomy, one has been spayed... twice (before we owned her). They all have one thing in common; they get amazing care and attention from MediVet-Ark Aid, Poole. The staff are wonderful, warm, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and make one feel that one is the only client that matters. They truly go above and beyond to look after our beloved animals. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to another pet owner.

My dog Molly had treatment in the Carpenders park branch for a lump on her eye, she had it removed all seemed good regarding payment from the insurance then I was asked for 54.74 extra, why I asked when I was covered and had paid my excess of 80, it seemed they went for a very expensive HISTOLOGY test rather than the 62.98, rather than asking me if this was alright they tried to get it of my insurers, and they said they will not cover it, as it was unnecessary. I then had a nasty letter from Medivet saying this can't continue, and payment had to be made !!!!!!!! , I had never received a letter from then about any money, so I rang the branch at Carpenders Park and asked what was going on, the receptionist took the message and said she will look into it, nothing happened, so a week later went it there and asked what was happening, she took a message and said she will get back to me, again nothing, then Anna was on holiday so another message was left, why should I pay extra money for something that was NOT neccary and no one at this branch knew why it was charged, was unhappy and think I will be taking my 2 dogs elsewhere for treatment as I feel the trust has gone which is a shame as I have been going there for 6 years Not happy at all, I know you have to make money but really

We found a newborn kitten on our doorstep late last night and Medivet were more than happy to help, They looked him over, cleaned him up and gave us great advice and only charged us for the milk! So glad that places like this exist, god knows what we would've done if they weren't open!

I'm surprised to see some negative reviews here as I've used this practice extensively and find them to be pleasant and helpful, very conscientious and highly skilled. They saved my cat's life after he was hit by a car, and then performed a complex operation to save one of his back legs. The after-care was time consuming for us all but they were great throughout.
It's true that they are not cheap but, as someone else says, they provide an emergency 24/7 service (without which my cat would be dead), and anyway whoever found a cheap vet?

My kitten has an ear infection and I couldn't get an appointment with my Vet soon enough so I thoght I'd give this place a try as they are open 24hrs. The receptionist was very unpleasant. I watited there for about 25 minute or so before one the the nurses came out to explain that they were running late because they had 2 emergencies. We finally saw the Vet about 15-20 mins later. I was very surpised that the Vet has immediately suggested to admit the kitten to sedate her and drain the debris althought she did give a second option which I took to give the kitten an antibiotic and drops. The bill was almost 90 pound which my partner thought it was expensive. I wouldn't mind paying more if the patice was clean and staff was caring. I would not use their service again.
